WOYWW 320

It's Wednesday morning so I'm linking up with Julia's Stamping Ground where we show each other what is on our Work desks  each week.

My hubby and myself are going to Cambridgeshire to visit  his aunt who now lives in residential care so my photo was taken last evening.

I keep my sewing machine in my cabin as it's only used for card making.

I am finishing off some notelets  that I didn't manage to get done when I went to a card making evening with friends recently.  I had made three cards and stamped these three but have to finish them off and add to cards.

On my desk are some washi tape and gems I am using, a border punch and a jar that I put small punched hearts flowers and butterflies into to use up small scraps of paper and card rather than throwing them away.

We'll be home about teatime so I'll be visiting desks in the evening and on Thursday.  Hope you all enjoy your day.

Great to see a sewing machine out - even if it is only used for paper craft! x Jo

You've got some lovely bits and bobs on your desk! I'm a terror for gems and bling in general...the sparklier the better, in my opinion! You'll have to show a close up of what you sew on your cards...I'm intrigued :-)

Very pretty cards! I love the touch of sewing on the bottom. I wouldn't dare have my machine out all the time or folks would expect mending to be done! Lots of nice things to play with on your desk. Judy #51

Great to see your desk, I love your shoe cards. I really ought to keep my sewing machine easily accessible, then I'd be more likely to use it on my cards. Hope you had a good trip to Cambridge. Liz #49 xx

Great sewing, I could do with leaving my machine out all the time, but even my tolerance of unused stuff would be tested! I love the cards too, now fun! Hope your visit was well received!

Hope you enjoyed your day in Cambridgeshire, Barb. I know Cambridge fairly well as I was born there and my parents retired there for 10 years before returning to Devon. I love that part of the world! All that flatness and the 180 deg. arc of sky and all that fabulous light! I love your stitched cards with the pretty punched edges, and I have been known to save the tiny punched out hearts and flowers to use on other projects! I do hate throwing stuff away if it can be used!

Thank you for your lovely comment and your good wishes for my chemo. I just can't wait for it all to be over now and to be able to get on with my life again! I haven't done any art today because I was too tired earlier and then my hubby's brother and his wife came and we've been busy chatting and eating! I am glad you like my faux leather, and I just hope I will be able to get my projects completed ahead of the deadline, factoring in not feeling well next week.

Happy WOYWW,

Hope you enjoyed your trip to Cambridge as much as I enjoyed the buffet. Made me realise just how greedy some folks are though, the couple next to us were a bit big and by heck, I now know why. Plate after plate!!!

I think it's a good idea to have a machine dedicated to cards and paper that way you don't have to keep changing the needle when you want to sew fabric. Have a great woyww and happy crafting, Angela x 28

Hi Barb and thanks for visiting. I am hoping when we move and I set up my craft room again that there will be space to have my machine always set up, I'm sure I'd use it more then. Have fun finishing off your shoe cards. Cheers RobynO#9

I haven't used my sewing machine on cards, but I do use it on layouts now and again for wiggly borders. Love the projects on your blog.
