WOYWW #319

Welcome WOYWW deskers,

I can't believe another week has passed already.

I have edited my post in respect of the news that Eliza has very sadly passed away.  As I'm quite a new desker  we hadn't met but there have been many lovely tributes paid to her here today and it's clear that she was very well respected and will be sadly missed .

I looked around for some time but only joined in at WOYWW two weeks ago and I've really enjoyed it.   Thank you Julia at Stamping Ground for bringing us all together every week.

I've been playing with some acrylic paints.  The ones on my desk are recently bought and hadn't been used before.  I made tags for cards with some thick Kraft card.  Some  I decided to triple emboss, something I've not done for a while and my Crop o Dile came out for the first time in ages.

Wishing everyone a happy day.

Lovely pastel colours! I also like that butterfly stamp. One can never have enough butterflies in my opinion.
Have a great week,

As you participate in this weekly phenomenon called WOYYW you will see how wonderful all the peeps are and that you really do feel like you know them even though you have not met in real life. However, due to the friendships formed here every Wednesday, some of us have even managed to connect when we travel the world and get together for a snatched day here or there. I have been lucky enough to meet Ally H when she came to South Africa on business and then later when she brought her hubby on a holiday. So welcome to this wonderful band of Deskers, I look forward to what you post. #22

Hope you have a good week.

I don't get to join in with the desk hopping every week but it is so much fun when I do. Everyone is so friendly and there's masses of inspiration out there too.
Your desk looks like a fun place to create.

Welcome to woyww! Yes, it can be addictive :) But lots of lovely people to meet and desks to see.
I'm not sure what triple embossing is, either? You might have to give more details :)
Have a good week.

You will soon find that you build up friendships - it is almost like a 'group' that we have on here. I think that must be evident to you because of the outpouring of grief there is at Eliza's passing.
Barb, what is "Ushy's Sheep" please. I see pictures of dogs and cats but never, I don't think, sheep in someone's side bar.
Love the two dogs, what beauties they are. And the building in the garden - that is where you stamp? How wonderful. You must show us around it some time and make us (me certainly) very envious.
Hugs, Neet 26 xx

Hi Barb, you will have to let us know what you think of the paints. I'm intending to try my hand at a bit of art journalling, but haven't bought paints yet, as I have a drawer full of assorted pots of acrylic paint, and I really do have to use them before I buy anything else!
Yes, there are a whole host of amazing global friendships formed on WOYWW, it's a wonderful thing.Have a great week, hugs, Shaz #13 xxx

Well welcome to the group :) ( I was off last week) and so, I feel a little out of touch and this is a fun way to catch up with people who are becoming quite dear to me. :) I love that you have everything in reach on your desk and the paint colors are so pretty :) Thanks for the earlier visit! ~Stacy #57

So nice to have you with us on WOYWW, Barb - we are a great bunch and firm friendships have been made on here. I have been privileged to meet one or two in person as well, which is great!! I shall miss Eliza very much, and her lovely Yoda, who was practically a penpal with our kitty Beatrice... Her sudden passing is a real wake up call for us all, to treasure life and make it count! Those of us going on the cancer journey feel this very much as well, and however unpleasant the chemo may be, it is a second chance at life for me and much as I want my life back, to be able to do all the things I used to, I don't want it to be the same, but of better quality from now on!!

Thank you for your visit and your lovely comment. I'm so glad you like the card I made with the Ryn stamp - I have several of hers and they are fabulous - very different from anything else, and they always cause comment when I use them. The water drops are gorgeous, aren't they!

Happy belated WOYWW,

I very much enjoyed browsing your blog, Barb. Your triple embossed tag is lovely, as are the cards I peeked at. I'm sure you'll love snooping --- er--- sharing with our group. ( LOL) Desking is something to anticipate with great pleasure every week, and even more fun to participate in. Enjoy your week.
Thanks for stopping by my place.
