WOYWW #318

Happy Wednesday!

Thank you for visiting my craft space today.

I send over 100 Christmas cards every year and I am well ahead with mine this time.  I've only got about 20 more to do and in October will start on cards for 2016.

I took some Sizzix snowman stamps along to do at our craft club on Monday morning and yesterday afternoon started cutting them out with the matching Sizzix dies.  I've not used this set before so decided to start off by just making six.

This is how my desk was left yesterday when I finished crafting for the day.

The Pro markers are for colouring in the holly and berries and I cut a few red hearts out of the scraps of red card that was left after die cutting the scarves.

The black and grey square object behind my mug is my Fiskars scissors sharpener.  It's very portable, light and easy to use but does a really good, quick job.  I've a bit more die cutting and colouring to do today then will be able to make another six more Christmas cards.

I'm now going to make myself a coffee and start my visits to the other WOYWW desks at Julia's Stamping Ground blog.

Oh you're so efficient, I just cannot put myself in the mood to do Christmas just now...gimme a month until the wholesalers start distributing their Christmas stocks and the shops start wanting samples and workshops....., meanwhile, I'm relishing the sunshine type crafts! That snowman is very cute...having done the first few, are you in love with him yet?

Very organised - I have tried to get in a routine to do the next years cards before I put all the Christmas stuff away and then finish it off one week in the summer when I have a craft week with my mum (I didn't go away with my mum this year so I'm a bit behind - got about 30 cards still to make ). I do get where you are coming from. Nothing sucks the pleasure out of making your own Christmas cards than rushing against the clock. Thanks for the visit, and have a happy wednesday, Cindy #24

Hi Barb,my you are so organised! I can't even start to think about Christmas cards yet, even though I really should. I think it's because we have such a short Summer time here, thinking about winter just seems wrong, lol. I'm sure I'd enjoy the process even more if I didn't always end up wondering if I'm going to get them done in time.Have a great week, Hugs, Shaz#10 xxx

I'm in love with your snowmen! What a super cute set. I would love to make my cards this year with a big Nutcracker guy, but I have no idea if they make that die. I need to look into that, and now you've motivated me. Have a wonderful week! Thanks for visiting me! Sandy Leigh #37

Wow Barb you really are organised and ahead of the game.
Mind due the weather here in Bonnie Scotland is very December like with this arctic wind blowing.

I'm so impressed with how organised you are with your cardmaking, Barb! A target of 100 and you are almost there and planning to start on 2016s in October ... I think I'm doing well to reach my target for 1st December :) Love the snowmen on your desk today - I don't have any stamps with matching dies but they surely are a very good idea. Thanks for your earlier comment. The birds are not finished yet, I have to sew round every one, then add their wings and stitch round them too - I could be some time :) Have a great week. Well, I used to make around that number of cards but think I have cut down a lot now but I was never so organised. Very impressive. I take it you enjoy doing them.

Hi Barb. Thanks for visiting me today. Go you on your Christmas card progress! I am so far behind but once I have the studio finished and have things at my finger tips, I am planning an entire week of nothing but playing in my new space. First on the list is my Christmas cards! Thank you all for calling by today and leaving comments. Keeping ahead of the game is now something of a personal challenge after having to give in and buy lots several years ago. However, I won't tell you how high my ironing piles sometimes. Happy Crafting Everyone. Barbxx

Wow! I'm impressed with how many Christmas cards you have done already. I think I have 6! I worked on them all year long last year but just can't get in the mood for it this one. I don't have a set number I make. I send what gets made. Some years it is just a dozen or so and other it is 80+. Thanks for the visit earlier. Next week I plan to have a photo of the actual desk. Maybe I'll even make a mess for y'all. Judy #47

I'm impressed, I truly am! Well ahead of the game you are. If that was me I'd have to start saving for the postage around now.
They don't do Christmas cards here in Spain and I only send cards to those elderly relatives of my husbands in the UK who don't have email. In Holland they're not too bothered either. So I'm off the hook....
But I love your little snowman. It looks like a fun card to make.
Thanks for your visit,
Have a great week,

I'm very impressed with your productivity! Only 20 left to do and then starting 2016? I love the snowmen, though after last winter, I see them more as Whovian in nature (menacing) than Jolly lol.
