Oldies for Friday

This is my second post today.  A little late as we've had visitors.

I made these two ATCs about six  or seven years ago using stampbord which seems to be becoming popular again.

I coloured the stampbord tiles with dye inks then stamped the two geishas  with black Archival ink.  After doing a bit of scratching back I triple embossed the tiles.  Because they were very shiny they didn't photograph too well.  I coloured the edges with a gold Krylon pen.

The bamboo leaf was stamped onto scraps of card and gold embossed on the black card.

I'm linking up with Erika's Snappy Crafts blog where, every Friday, she invites us to share any craft item we made in the past.   If you join in just leave a comment for Erika so she knows you've called and she'll visit you too.

  2. Barb, thank you for your comment on my oldie card. I am a bit like your self and have tried my hand at lots of crafts over the years, mainly knitting and sewing. Having three children in the 70s I had to knit or make clothes as money was tight at times. I have had a look back at your wonderful cards, love your designs, Patricia ( summerhousecrafts.blogspot.com) and I make pendants and all profits go to the chemo unit at Ninewells Dundee where I receive my treatment 4 years ago.

  15. Great ATC's Barb, loving the oriental theme, especially the red and black one only because I think that it is a traditional colour for this style of card.
