Hello and thanks for calling
I really enjoyed making this card and while I had my heat gun out decided to make a few similar cards in different colours.
I cut the embossed background to size then into strips and mounted onto the pink card.
I made quite a lot of the little flowers from offcut of parchment paper so that I could make a batch of cards.
They were heat embossed onto vellum and fussy cut and I used a Sakura pen to colour the stamens.
The sentiments are from a set by Paula Pascal that I use a great deal and the banner is a Sue Wilson die.
I 'm popping this card over to join in at Pixie's Snippets Playground Week 213

Beautiful card. Love those flower heads.
Great snippets make Barb. Need to get my skates on for this week - but that rocket fuel that Sarn said was Hooch has given me a headache!!
Very pretty card Barb and love your different colour flowers they really pop out of the card
Anne
Lovely use of snippets there Barbara. Very pretty looking vellum flowers.
It's Hooch o'clock at the Tree house later!
Hugs, Sarn xxx
This is very pretty. I like the embossed panels behind your vellum flowers.
Hi Barb....Pretty card....like the embossed panels.....and the flowers in vellum....Joolsx
I am a sucker for vellum embossed flowers and I love yours, Barb!! What a great idea to make up a bunch of them. I've got drawers and drawers of store-bought flowers that don't "speak" to me so they just hide away there unloved, but these vellum beauties sure make me smile! Great use of snippets, too!! Hugs, Darnell
hi Barb - this card is so pretty. I love your vellum flowers and such a clever way of using up the small pieces we all end up with. Annie xxx
I really like the embossed panels, such a nice background for the beautiful flowers.
Hugs Lisa

The embossed flowers are really pretty and that's an idea I've never thought of, so thanks for the inspiration!
Fabulous. This card is beautiful. I like your technique of cutting the embossed layer, and then mounting them on a different color. Beautiful. You might see that idea soon in one of my cards.. I hope you don't mind ☺
A very pretty card Barb and lovely vellum flowers.

This is gorgeous, Barb! Love the embossed vellum flowers and embossed cardstock!
A wonderful card for this specific occasion (or any other that you needed by changing up the sentiment). It has a very light hearted & cheery feel with the panels of embossing behind those delicate gold outline posies. A most feminine design, and so very pretty. I really like this layout and it's perfect with the flowers. TFS & Hugs
Oh, how lovely is it??!! Very sweet card, with this embossed background and the vellum flowers! Adorable colours combo! Love so much the clean design and the details!
Love how you used the ef & made the background--beautiful card!
Oh Barb, I just love this card!
This is so retty. I love the idea of batch baking the flowers so they are to hand when you need them!
Absolutely beautiful Barb - I love those flowers and the embossed strips look stunning. I wonder why it's only recently I've been noticing this idea - it's so clever and really does make such a difference.
Hope that Friday went off OK and that perhaps this week will be less stressful.
Hugs
