As today is 25th of the month it's time again to join in at Scrappy Mo's blog for the Rudolph Day Challenge with a Christmas card.
Mo holds her Challenge on the 25th of each month and always offers a lovely prize for the lucky winner.
After embossing the background I rubbed on some gold metallic Rub Ons which unfortunately looks grey in the photo. I added a tiny gem to the star and some Stickles around the edge for sparkle.
The tree is cut from a die which came as a freebie with a magazine last year.
My card was very quick to make so I made several using scraps of gold, silver, red green and blue card.
I'd therefore also like to join in again with the girls in Di's Snippets Playground Week 200.

The gold tree is beautiful! This looks so elegant! I love the embossed background! The bows on the tree and banner are a nice touch! Thank you for the sweet birthday wishes!
I love the golden tree, and those tiny red bows are just too cute!
This is really pretty. I like the look of the tree against this embossed background. A friend gave me two or three of these backgrounds and I did not know what to use them with. You have given me a great idea.
The metallic paste looks wonderful on your tree.
Thanks for taking part in the October Rudolph days Challenge.
Love your embossed tree card. I need some rub on stuff ! Annoying that the colour doesn't shine, happens to me a lot. Fab free die! Xxx
Oh my--elegant & beautiful, Barb!

Hi Barb,
what a great card, and lovely embossed background too.
Sally H, and me are apple bobbing behind the bike sheds so if you want to be naughty like us come and join us, but don't let Miss Di, and Parsnip catch you or you will be in for detention. LOL.
Try and get more playground mates to join us.
Lots of crafty love. Jenny L.
BRILLIANT Rudolph Day/Snippets card Barb. xxx
Gorgeous card Barb! What a wonderful freebie you got with that die too - and such a clever idea to mount it onto the embossed background which seems to be just made for the die size! Lovely work.

A beautiful Christmas card Barb, love the gold tree. Love the embossing too.
As for all the glitter, I know I only do glitter on fairies and at Christmas. That looks like it is all about to change!

Wonderful background with the extra detail of distressing the embossing to show it off better. Love that you used this great sticker & it surely looked gold on my monitor. Didn't realize it _was_ a sticker until reading your post, as there is a die that looks like this! Brilliant card...I love it. The distressed white background really glams up the pretty tree too. TFS & Hugs
Hi Mary, the tree is a die. Thanks for dropping by. Barbxx
I have this embossing folder and now I see how to use it! Love how it frames this golden tree!
