Wednesday morning again when we get a chance to link up with Julia's Stamping Ground and visit work desks around the world.
I've been unable to join in for the past couple of weeks but did manage to have a little look round at some desks.
On Monday I made a card for a friend who is a keen gardener. I posted the card on my blog on Monday then decided I would make four similar, but slightly different cards for my charity box.
I used pages from an old gardening book, Paper Artsy stamps and a set of dies from Sizzix which arrived last Friday. They are three gardening tools, a trowel, fork & hoe. I cut them out from black card, added metallic rub ons to give a metallic effect and added kraft card handles.
I'm off to make a cuppa then start my visits to see what everyone else has been up to.

No way would I take a photo of my desks...got two...one in my office in the house and the other in my cabin in the garden.....both look like a mess....bits every where....is it me or all us crafters are like it....lol...Joolsx
I love the garden-cards, they look very 'brittish' to me... we Dutchies have the feeling all Brittish people are gardeners and plant roses all the time, ha! (I guess that is as much an unreal image as the idea that all Dutchies wear wooden shoes and the country is filled with windmills...) Anyway, the cards are awesome! Thanks for your comment and compliment on my blog today! Happy woyww and a hug from windy Holland, Marit #33
Your card elements are looking great, book paper is always a good start...
Happy woyww! Kristiina #13

Great little forks you have made for your cards. That is a really good idea to make copiers for charity cards - something I must adopt one of these days. Where does time go?
Hugs, Neet xx 15
ps what beautiful dogs you had, must miss them.
Fun to look at your desk and see what you've been making!
I love those Paper Artsy rubber stamps, especially against the text background - and the little gardening forks are so cute - what a great set of dies. Thanks so much for stopping by my desk, hope you have a great week,

Oh Barb, I LOVE that sentiment. Gosh, that's really struck a chord. I'm busy trying to make as many memories as I can at the moment, I feel that time is just whooshing away from me. I love the background as well. Clever you!
Hugs, LLJ 11 xx
Fun, artistic cards you're making, Barb!
I love the old book papers for the card.

Those dies look great - I make a lot of garden themed cards & pages - may need to investigate ! Love your card Ali #10
Beautiful pages, Barb, and the garden tools are really fun! Your scratch paper, where the outlines are from the inking, could be made into a nice background too, so I hope you won't throw it out!
Thank you for your lovely comment. I'm feeling a bit better now, and hopefully will have a few days during which I can do things before the next treatment.
Happy WOYWW,
Shoshi #42
I saw your finished card in the last post, and love it. The gardening page background gave it a lot of interest, and the tool came out fabulous. Blessings!
