Hello to Everybody and Happy WOYWW when we get a chance to travel the world looking at each other's workdesks each Wednesday thanks to our hostess at Julia's Stamping Ground.
My photo was taken on Tuesday evening as I clear away most evenings ready for the next day.
I was making a card, following a sketch that I will enter later on today. I got out a pile of washi paper and chose the pieces I wanted to use.
There are various die cuts around as I wasn't sure which colour of card I wanted to use where. The card is finished now and it sort of evolved.
To the left are a few quick cards I'd made that need putting away. The little plastic boxes on the wall are different small embellishments like beads, paper clips and googly eyes used postage stamps. The black plug and lead are for my internet connection.
Most of the stuff along the back of my bench stays in more or less the same place because although it looks a mess I know where things are. My pink shoes are on the floor as I keep a pair of pink "crafting" slippers in my cabin!
Have a lovely day everyone.

Hi Barb, happy WOYWW. Great desk with light sharing windows. I think I may have a unit like your wall set - I have taken the containers out and use it for easy storage for my Distress Inks. Nice to have all your gear at hand too. Enjoy your week RobynO#22
Brilliant crafty space.........mine is always a mess ...but I do tidy up now and again...then cant find a thing I want!!! Joolsx
Hi Barb, great desk shot. Entirely with you on knowing where stuff is- we just want to be able to have the whole room to hand, lol. Have a great week, Hugs, Shaz #4 xx
It might be a mess but it's your mess and you can't be creative without making a mess so you carry on having fun.....life should be full of fun :-)

I love all the natural light you get on your work area. That wall drawer unit is very conveniently placed too. Happy WOYWW! #42
You've got a great crafting space and lots of lovely natural light with two large windows - wonderful! I really like the washi paper card - just saw your most recent post - the background paper is fabulous and I love the black banner against it - really eye-catching. Hope you have a great week,

I cleaned and tidied my work desk today and promptly couldn't find a thing! Don't tidy up what ever you do! Advice from someone who knows the consequences! 11
I think things look rather tidy...there is still desk top showing!! I need to try again with sketches...for some reason they bog me down.
Thanks for stopping by, Happy WOYWW.

I love your little craft cabin! You must so love going there and do what you like doing.
Those cards look lovely. I've heard of washi tape but not of washi paper. I suppose it's the same but bigger...
If you are the same Barb....Thanks for visiting earlier,
Have a good week,

That's the sort of desk we like to see on WOYWW, Barb - a nice busy one!! Lovely to see the beautiful card you made, in production, with all those gorgeous papers to choose from. I have got some origami paper somewhere but I don't think I've got any washi paper - not sure, so I think I'd better have a look!
Thank you for your great comment - very encouraging. I am definitely feeling better now, which is great because I can get in the studio and get stuck in for longer and have some FUN! About the Friendly Plastic - you can't use the regular FP strips for casting - you need the pellets, which are small white lumps of the same low-melting-point plastic. You can buy a generic brand of these which are a lot cheaper than the FP branded sort, so it's worth searching around (Ebay is a good starting point). Did you know that the manufacturers have stopped making the FP strips? Hopefully somebody else will take it on because there's quite a demand for them. Liz Welch at Rare Bird (the UK distributor) has a small amount left. The pellets will continue to be available, thank goodness - this is what I use pretty well exclusively although I do have some strips.

All that natural light-whoo hoo! Great looking action shot desk. You've been busy and have a lot of stuff on hand. It is good to have the essentials near. Judy #49
I've tried getting my hands on washi paper, but it isn't available here :( checked your card, it's really gorgeous. Happy woyww!

I really like you have placed those plastic boxes on the wall so you have added desk space. Your craft cabin looks like a fun place to be in, and of course, I'm sure you appreciate the added space it provides, too. Happy belated WOYWW from #2.
