New home

First I would like to welcome Lisa to my blog.  I didn't find her blog until yesterday but her work is amazing. I'm sure you'll think so too.

I bought the Memory Box house die at a sale price some months ago and this is it's first outing.  It's actually a Christmas die but I cut off the little tree and holiday sentiment that came out of the chimney (which I forgot to put back on) oops!

The whole card is made with snippets of card, paper and ribbon The blue background circle is cut from some craft packaging.  I distressed the embossed background card.

I'd like to enter this card into the following challenges:-

Pixies Snippets Playground  #192 over at Pixies Craft Workshop blog and
Allsorts Challenge blog Week#326 Recycle/Upcycle

What a cute use of that Christmas die, turning it into a new home card! I love the ribbon and flower brad accent with the dangling heart! Great idea for a card!

Great re usage of the packaging material. I do that with The Docs custard tart boxes. Good job he likes then otherwise I'd be running out of blue strippy cards. Hugs Mrs A.

Gorgeous new-home card! Love the die cut! I like how you did the sentiment.. is that part of the die or is that another die?

It's not a die Kitty. The letters are punched out and I used the negative of some letters and cut them out in random shapes. Barb

Super card and a great die there Barb! It's a centrally heated house without the need for a chimney :)

Hi Barb, great use of snippets of card, I love it when folk alter dies too. You can't beat getting more wear out of them than what they were intended for. The wee house had a lovely New England feel about it. I love that style of thing.

Enjoy the rest of your Tuesday, hugs Erika. x

Hi Barb,
what a wonderful card.
A great image, and perfect for someone who has moved to a new home.
I can tell you I am not very good with computers, and am still on a learning curve.
That CD does nearly all the work for you, but it's quite an old one.
Just thought I would make that clear as no way am I a wizz at computers. LOL.
I never touched a computer till I started CD crafting in about 2005.
Lots of crafty love. Jenny L.
