Happy Family!

Hello and Welcome.

This is a card I made last week using a set of stamps and dies which came recently as a freebie with a magazine.

I think this set will work well for many occasions and I did use it to make a card for my hubby for our Wedding Anniversary earlier this month.

For this card I used a piece of background paper from Papermania which has been tucked away for several years.  The background piece, punched snowflakes and the little people were all done with offcuts of white card.  I still have a bulging carrier bag full of white snippets hanging up in my cabin waiting to be used.  Unfortunately it's being added to almost by the day!  I think you all know what I mean!!!

I would like to enter my card into the following Challenges:-
Pixies Snippets Workshop - Weeks 287 & 288
The Rudolph Day Challenge - June

Both are fun and really friendly places to play and I like to join in with both as often as I can.

Hi Bard. This card is so sweet. I love those little Russian dolls and you have coloured them so nicely!
You have reminded me that I have a stamped image of snowpeople similar to your stamped this image...will have to hunt for it.
I smiled when I read about your bag of white offcuts. Where I live, the best heavyweight paper comes in 8 1/2 x 11 which leaves me a lot of offcuts to make 5 1/2 square cards. We pay extra postage for 6 inch cards and so I try to stick to the smaller size most of the time.
I keep mine in a box but a hanging bag is a great idea to remind you to use them up!!!

Thanks for taking part in the June Rudolph Days Challenge.

A fantastic use of these gorgeous stamps Barb, they've made a great Christmas card. I have four largish boxes full of off cuts of card and another two white A4 boxes with off cuts of patterned papers, I just don't seem to make a dent into at all.

Brilliant card, love the images and the papers are perfect.
Funny but I was looking at my snippets today and thought there were far too many and I was just about to put them all in my card waste bag and changed my mind at the last minute but I do need to sort them as they seem to mound up each day.

Great card, Barb, super stamped images and lovely backing paper. I know what you mean about the white snippets, why do they seem to multiply when you're not looking??? xx

Gorgeous card Barb, I love russian dolls they are so cute.
I'm exactly the same with snippets, I keep the tiniest piece of card as it may come in handy to stamp a sentiment onto...trouble is I don't think I will ever stamp that many sentiments in my lifetime Lol
Thank you for your lovely comments on my blog, I truly appreciate them all :)
Hugs, Kaz xx

I always like magazine freebies, you get sets you might not normally buy and they make some of the best cards, like yours, so fun and cheery!

Beautiful Barb, makes a gorgeous card and I hope you both have a wonderful wedding anniversary too.
My mum used to have these as wooden dolls when I was a child, she was Russian and these always remind me of mum...

A lovely card - Russian dolls are one of my favs. I turn out my snippet boxes every so often and keep only the largest pieces.

What a fun stamp set and you've made it up well with this card. As for white snippets. I was so pleased with myself for clearing out my white snippet box and it made me happy as I used it in its new and improved cleaned out version. But can I do that for the other colors?! OH NO! I don't know why not. Every snippet is so precious! ha!

This is beautiful using the Babushka dolls Barb. I have this set too but haven't got round to using them yet, but you have really inspired me to get them out soon. Such a pretty background paper which goes beautifully with them too. x

White snippets? Yep, I know all about those! Making tags uses up some of them.
Love your colour coordinated design. Perfect. x
