Times Gone By!

Hello and I hope you are all enjoying the weekend.

First I would like to give a very warm welcome to my new follower Pauline.  Many of you will know Cotnob from her beautiful cards in magazines we read.

I made this card for a male friend last year and thought it would be just right for the Allsorts Challenge blog Week 363 which this time is Vintage.

My background is a Stamps Away mask which was embossed onto white card then coloured with Distress inks and spritzed with water.

I coloured the ribbon with distress ink.   The image is an old cigarette card given to me by my Hubby when he was having a clear out.

The sentiment is one by Paula Pascal which I cut out with a Marianne die.

I used black card for matting and stuck it all onto a 6 inch square card then inked the edge with Distress ink too.

It is indeed perfect for our Vintage theme this week Barb, great graduated inking of the mask which makes a perfect backdrop to the Vintage car. Nice touches with the ribbon and buttons as well, many thanks for joining us at Allsorts this week.

Oh yes, I know about Cotnob...what grand cards she makes! We follow each other (I think! We used to before Blogger played Silly Buggers - still laff at that expression some UK blogger used). Love this beautiful classic oldie, and how perfect it looks against the sepia stenciling. That made a brilliant background for this particular image. (Glad if you got a chuckle at the recycling! Tried to find a large enough old red Christmas card, and none of the huge stack I have, fit the bill. Then I saw the ......worked too!) TFS & hugs.

Fantastic, Barb. You do 'male' cards really well, I've noticed. Not a skill I've acquired as yet!
