Small Beginnings

I hope you're having a good weekend.

First I would like to give a very warm welcome to Gill who has recently joined me here.

I'm glad to see Strictly Come Dancing back for another season.  Hubby and I used to love ballroom dancing.  Sadly we had to give it up about five years ago because of my arthritis.  I'm so glad I'd found paper crafting by then.

This is an ATC that I made a while ago.  Every bit of  it is made from snippets so I thought it would be just right to take over to  Pixie's Crafty Workshop for the Week # 193 Challenge.

The little flower and flowerpot stamps are some I have had probably from the beginning and the leaves were cut with a little punch that has also served me well.

The sentiment is from a little box of Hero Arts sentiments rubber stamps and after stamping I cut it into pieces.

The background is from packaging and the button from one of hubby's old shirts.  I always cut off the buttons before throwing anything away and I bet you do too!

Enjoy your day and thank you for popping in.

Cute little ATC and Il ove the gold packaging! I've only ever made one ATC - I never know what to do with them. I'd probably put it on a card hehe!

Delightful card...love the tiny gold trellis behind this cute flower pot. Also liked the touch of the button as the flower center. Lots of color & texture, even though I guess this would be termed as 'neutral colors'...the combination is just very pretty. Love the way you've used the words for the sentiment too! (and I save buttons too. Used to buy old ones at garage sales & flea markets, but stopped that, as we need to eliminate clutter, rather than bringing more of it into the house. I always spot buttons on cards though!). TFS & Hugs

Beautiful card Barb and what a great way to recycle packaging.....and of course we cut off buttons and the ribbon hanger thingies from inside jumpers etc(though confess to rarely using them unless to help tie up a parcel!) thank you also for those lovely comments on my blog x

This is lovely Barb.
I saw Strictly the other night, but I will probably not watch it for a few weeks as I like to take advantage of the evenings while they are still light, and also the useless ones will be gone by then. I too used to do ballroom but stopped to do other dancing until I stopped at Scottish at 11. I still do that and my class starts tomorrow for this term. I am the teacher now!! Haa Haa!
Hugs
