WOYWW - Week 330

Happy Wednesday to Everyone.

I'm so glad to be back again joining in at Julia's Stamping Ground for WOYWW.

Every Wednesday Julia invites us to join her for a blog hop around the world to see what is on everybody's work desk.

Well this was my desk after I'd finished on Tuesday evening and this is how it looks now.

I've been inspired by the great work Sue Jones has been doing and her enthusiasm for her new gelli plate so I decided to get mine out again.

It was a lovely sunny afternoon and I spent a couple of hours making gelli plate prints.  These are what I made.  They're all trimmed up and ready to be used on cards.

Some masks and my brayer on the right have been washed.  Now they just have to be put away.  There are some paints still out on the left.

Well now I'm of to make a coffee then start visiting your desks.

Enjoy your day!

Autumn!

Welcome on this sunny autumn morning.

Today I decided to show an ATC.  I used a buff coloured card for the base with a scrap of a shimmery gold paper for the background.

I added the pieces of silver edged ribbon and then punched the top left hand corner with my Cropodile and added a mustard coloured brad.  The threads are a selection of autumn coloured bits from my stash.

For the topper I used a small piece of very thin wood which was cut from a box which originally contained a  made chilli.  I used some strong red tape to stick the wood to a piece of card to add strength then inked up a reverse stamp with an Adirondack die inkpad.  The tiny dragonflies are stamped with a tiny stamp from a Hero Arts clear set.

I would like to enter my ATC into the following challenges:-

Rudolph Day!

I can't believe another month has gone by.

Here is my card for Scrappy Mo's Rudolph Day Challenge and I'm so glad to be taking part again this month.

Mo holds her challenge on the 25th of the month and always offers a lovely prize to the lucky winner.

It's an A6 parchment card that was pretty quick to do.  I put a bit of green behind the leaves,  a little pink Sakura stardust on the bell and enamel dots for the berries.

The heart brad holds the parchment onto the backing card.

Thank you so much

Good evening and thank you to all my blogging friends who left  comments and kind wishes.

Now that I'm over the horrid bug that put me out of action I'm looking forward to getting back to visiting you all again and seeing what you've been making

A couple of weeks ago I was lent this pretty Tattered lace die by a friend.

I had several pieces of white card which had previously been Brusho-ed  so I used them to cut out a number of camper vans.

I used the waste from the windows for my previous card and now have about a dozen vans to be made up into cards.  I'm glad to be back and joining in again.

Now I'm off to continue visiting you again before getting back to joining in with some challenges.

Happy Crafting Everyone!

"Hello" I'm back

Hello and thanks for your visit.

I was away for several days and had a great time but since returning home on Tuesday I've been feeling quite rough.

I'm posting  this card to say hello to all my blogging friends and  will be visiting as usual when I'm feeling a bit better.

This card was made with the waste from a Tattered Lace camper van die.
I'd like to enter it into. Pixies Snippets Challenge # 195

Smiles on Friday

Happy Friday Everyone!

My picture today was taken a couple of weeks ago and was the last time I saw this little chap at our feeder.  He was visiting several times a day for ages then suddenly didn't come back again.

Two of our close neighbours have walnut trees in their garden and I'm wondering if walnuts have more appeal than the sunflower hearts we are offering - or perhaps he's decided to go to bed early.

I've had a another good week.  On Monday I crafted with friends, Tuesday I bought a new handbag and this morning I've had my hair done and believe me it needed doing.  Best of all I've just won the random winner prize on the Creative Fingers Challenge.

Hubby has just asked if I'd like to go out for lunch so no cooking for me today.  The only downside is that I have a pile of ironing to do this afternoon.

I'm off to visit my friend in Essex in the morning and on Sunday we're going away for a couple of days which includes a tour round the Coronation Street studio.  I'm really looking forward to that as I've been watching that soap for about fifty years - really.

I hope you've enjoyed a good week and hope you all have a good weekend.

I'm linking up to Annie's blog where she hosts "Smiles on Friday" each week.  It's a happy place to visit.

Sending Love

Good Morning and thank you for visiting.

Today I'm sharing this "oldie" on Erica's blog for "Share an Oldie on Friday"

I'd been to Ally Pally and posted a few cards that I made using some of my new stash.  This was one of them.

I sprayed through the heart mask for the background.  The lips are a Visible Images stamp which I matted and layered then added a punched heart with Glossy Accents added.

The Sentiment is a very old stamp I bought from a discount bin.  I really like it because it looks handwritten.

Tomorrow I'm going away with a friend for a few days so I'm sure I'll be having a good weekend.  I hope you enjoy yours too.

"Tagged"

Good afternoon and thank you for visiting.

Yesterday I bought a new handbag and I decided to use the tag as I thought it was too nice to throw away.  So I decided to use it to make a card.

I  cut off the bottom to add as a trim then stamped the tulips onto a scrap of white card which I stuck on top of the tag and trimmed to the same width.

I painted the image with Zig Markers and a watercolour brush then added a little Sakura starlight to the flowers only which unfortunately doesn't show on the photo.  T drew round the whole image with a light grey Zig marker and made the tiny bow.

I mounted the tag onto a scrap of pale blue which I'd put through my ribbler then added the little heart and the tiny punched butterfly stamped the sentiment and added the three small gems.

The image is an old Hero Arts wood mounted stamp which I bought second hand and haven't used before .  This is my NBUS (Never Before Used Schtuff) so I'd like to enter this card into Darnell's NBUS Challenge #5.
I'd also like to take it along to Pixie's Snippets Playground  Week #194 .

I had a Ball

I hope you're enjoying your day.

I had a ball on Friday evening when I went to a card making class with some friend.

Louise's first love is scrap booking but she has a card class once a month and I always love the cards we make when I'm able to go along.

This is one of the cards we made on Friday.  All the stamps used are by  Clearly Besotted.

Some of the girls chose to stick their parchment on top then cover it with bakers twine.  I decided to stitch mine on when I got home although I think perhaps I should have used white thread instead of orange ... oh well!

We made two other cards and stamped three toppers which I made into cards at home - to be posted at a later date.

Thank you for your visit.

Get Wool Soon

Good Morning!

It's a drizzly overcast Monday morning here.  I hope  you're having better weather.

I made this card yesterday to enter into Mrs A's Butterfly Challenge blog where the theme this time is Y for Yarn.

The stamps are all from sets by Inky Doodles including the knitted stitches background that I stamped several times onto the Kraft card.

In the UK we call knitting yarn knitting wool so the sentiment is a play on words.

The butterflies were punchedpunches with  snippets of paper from my stash but unfortunately the little blue stars on the paper don't show up very well.

Thank you for dropping by and Happy Crafting!

Up and Away

Good Morning,

First I'd like to welcome Julie  from Any Old Craft blog who joined me here yesterday.  She does make some lovely cards so please do pop along for a visit.

For today's card I used a Sizzix die which I cut with several cards and papers then trimmed and layered up.

The patterned papers are all from a Bo Bunny pack and the sentiment is from a set by Butterfly kisses.

Most of the card is made with snippets and so I would like to play along in the Snippets Playground Week #194  on Pixie's Crafty Workshop blog.

Green Buttons!

Happy Saturday Everyone.

First today I'd like to say Hello and give a very warm welcome to Jo and Jean who have just joined me here.  Jean if you'd like to leave a comment I'll visit you as I can't find you at the moment.

Jo has lots of lovely work on her blog so you may like to visit her.

My card today is one I'd like to enter in the Allsorts Challenge blog where the theme this time is ..... buttons!

I die cut the dress onto a strip of card, stamped the sentiment then put on the three banners using a matching coloured paper.

I chose a selection of green buttons and stuck them onto the base card in the area where the dress would be then attached the strip of card using foam tape and finally added the purple bow.

It's a bit drizzly and overcast here but I'm  off up the garden to do some crafting now

.I hope you have a lovely weekend.

Cheers!

Good morning and thank you for visiting today.

This is my "oldie" today that I'm linking up on Erica's  blog where we show cards that we have previously posted.

The papers were from a pad I've had for a long time.  The fast food at the top was also cut out from the same pad.

The "Cheers" sentiment is a Judikins wood mounted stamp and the "happy Birthday" from a set by Paula Pascal.

The bear and beer mug are both Hobby Craft  wood mounted stamps.  I coloured the bear with pro markers and cut him out then coloured the mug, added glossy accents to the glass and fluffy stuff to the foam on top then cut round the bears hand and slipped in the glass.

I've not used this happy chappy for a while now so might just give him another outing over the next week.
Happy Crafting to you all.

Shhhhh!

Happy Friday to you all.

I hope you've had a good week.  It's been a good week for me as we've now got the car situation sorted out.

We didn't get the one we were after but we have another one which is just what we wanted.

Forty of us from our village craft club went out for a carvery on Monday after the meeting as we had funds to spend. The meal was delicious and we all had a good time.

This evening I am going out to a class to do card making with friends which I always enjoy.

My photo today is an ornament in our garden which we call Shhhh.  Hubby added my eyes to his photo but he changed the colour!  I wonder how different my life would have been if mine had truly been this colour instead of blue!

I'm going to pop over to Annie's "A Stitch in Time" blog where we link up every Friday for "Smile on Friday".

I hope that you enjoy your weekend.

Coffee and Friends ....

Today's card is for entering into Darnell's NBUS #5 Challenge.

I've got quite a lot of NBUS (Never Before Used Schtuff) and I've a sneaky feeling I'm not the only one either!

I used Papermania papers and embossed the background paper first.  I inked round the edge and added some hearts washi tape from my stash, a heart that was left over from a pack of free chipboard pieces plus a little punched heart.

The coffee mugs and sentiment are my NBUS items. I coloured the lids with a Pro Marker and paper pieced the holders round the middle.

I've had this Stampin' Up set for some months now and it's the first time they've seen any ink.  So I'm off to link up on Darnell's blog with all the other hoarders!

Small Beginnings

I hope you're having a good weekend.

First I would like to give a very warm welcome to Gill who has recently joined me here.

I'm glad to see Strictly Come Dancing back for another season.  Hubby and I used to love ballroom dancing.  Sadly we had to give it up about five years ago because of my arthritis.  I'm so glad I'd found paper crafting by then.

This is an ATC that I made a while ago.  Every bit of  it is made from snippets so I thought it would be just right to take over to  Pixie's Crafty Workshop for the Week # 193 Challenge.

The little flower and flowerpot stamps are some I have had probably from the beginning and the leaves were cut with a little punch that has also served me well.

The sentiment is from a little box of Hero Arts sentiments rubber stamps and after stamping I cut it into pieces.

The background is from packaging and the button from one of hubby's old shirts.  I always cut off the buttons before throwing anything away and I bet you do too!

Enjoy your day and thank you for popping in.

Cherry on the Top

Happy Saturday!

My card today was made using the bleeding tissue technique.  I had already used the pieces of tissue once and this was just an experiment to see if they would work a second time.

I was pleased with the pastel finish that was there once I removed the tissue paper pieces.

I used black soot Distress ink to wipe through this old Papermania brass stencil then mounted onto the black card and added some red stickles to the two cherries.

The sentiment is from an Inky Doodles set.

I'd like to enter this card into Challenge #91 on the Creative Fingers blog.
Alphabet Challenge blog O for One Layer
I hope you have a lovely weekend.

Messy Little Eater

Happy Friday Everyone!

How this week has flown and it's been a mixed week.

We went to visit Bruce's aunt in Cambridge and enjoyed lunch with her at the nursing home where she now lives.

Yesterday we went looking for a new car.  When we arrived the car we'd gone to see had been sold two days before but not removed from the dealer's website.

We got caught in traffic both ways so decided to have lunch and consoled ourselves with a Chinese meal.  It was absolutely delicious but we couldn't manage the dessert!

This male greenfinch was one of the visitors to our garden this week.  I had to smile at the picture with his little beak covered in the sunflower seed hearts he was obviously enjoying.

I'm going to link up with Annie's Stitch in Time blog for
A Smile on Friday Week #135.

Wishing you all a lovely weekend.

Little Mouse - Easel Card

Good afternoon and thank you for popping by.

My card today was made with a wood mounted stamp that I've had for a long time.  It's called Pansy Mouse and I think it's made by Fun Stamps (but please don't quote me on that).

I used a set of Tonic matting dies for all the round layers.

The background paper, mainly covered up I'm afraid, is from a roll of wallpaper border that I picked up when we were helping my MIL to move.  I painted the image to match the background.  The mauve paper was from my stash.

The sentiment is from a set by Personal Impressions.

I would like to enter this card into the Tuesday Morning Sketches Challenge #136

Love this Crazy Bird!

Good Morning and thank you for your visit.

Today I'd like to say a big warm welcome to Susan and Karen and thank you both for joining me here.

I'm afraid I can't find you Susan so if you'd leave me a comment I will be able to visit you too.  But do pay Karen a visit and see the lovely work she does.

Well a few days ago my Tim Holtz Crazy Birds stamps and dies finally arrived.  I've hardly had time for a proper play but made a couple of similar cards, also using another new set of Tim Holtz  dies, one of which I used on the top right.  The paper I've used behind the distressed diamonds is a bronzey metallic.

This is my favourite of the birds at the moment.  I can't decided whether he's scary or alarmed! Probably just whatever we want him to be.

Anyway this was just a quick card so I could have a play but I'm sure I will get more adventurous with these funny little guys.

Happy Crafting Everyone!
