Dance!

Hello All!

Sorry it's been a bad start to the year. Either slow or no internet connection - I won't bore you with the details.  I'm just so  sorry I've not got round as much as I'd have liked.

This is a card I made for a friend's birthday at the end of the year.  I used Woodware stamps for the boots and cowboy hat and paper from my stash.

I stamped and white embossed  onto the back of an old shop bought card from my scrap box.  I  loved the way they looked like suede when I coloured them with my Pro Markers.

The 'dance' letters are from a sheet of letter stickers that have been around forever.  I don't think I'll get a sensible word from the few letters that are left on the sheet!

This card must surely qualify for Pixies Snippets Playground Weeks 315 & 316

The boots and hat look really cool, like the unusual colour combination which works a treat. The letters are a blast from the past, I still have mine :) x

That must have been a lovely texture of card to give you such a realistic looking suede finish. It makes your card extra special.
For the last few years I've been saving my old sheets of letter stickers that no longer make useful words and giving them to the grandchildren when they are doing "art". However it's beginning to reach the stage where even the youngest is starting to know his letters so they are no longer satisfied with sticking random letters down, they want to make proper words!

These Woodware boots and hat look fabulous Barb, and the green hearts paper goes beautifully in the background. I love the leftover letters you found which spell out 'dance' and also the fishtail banners with the sweet little bow which are great finishing touches. x

Hi Barb, I'm all behind as usual (tasks not anatomy.....well maybe a bit of both!) so playing catch-up with comments and posts. I love your clever 'suede' boots and would very much like to see what you come up with using your remaining letters from your sticker sheet! Gorgeous card. x Anne
