You're a Star!

Hello and welcome!

First - I managed to track down my newest follower Anne and she is quite new to blogging so I do hope you will be able to pay her a visit.

My card today was made for my brother in law's birthday this month.  Believe me, he really is a star.

I retrieved a piece of a gelli plate print from my snippets box.  I used a mask to add the texture paste and when it was dry added inka gold and stickles to some of the stars then rubbed inka gold round the edge.

The planet is cut from scraps of used envelopes.  I added a little sparkle pen on the planet and also onto the happy birthday sentiment although it doesn't show up well in the photo.

I used the cleaned up star mask with Pumice Stone DI to decorate the background.  Unfortunately the photo is a bit blown out on the right hand side.

I would like to enter my card into the following challenges:
The Male Room #51  (Anything Goes)
Shopping Our Stash #285 (Stickle Me Elmo)
A Bit More Time to Craft #36 (Anything goes)

What a fantastic use of your gelli adventures to crate this astronomically beautiful and fun card. It's a wonderful theme for a masculine card, and the subtle neutral colors worked so well as backgrounds for the heavenly stars. A great idea for a theme for your beloved brother. Happy New Year, hope it started off great, and TFS. Will zip over to visit your new follower! Hugs

Oooh Barbara I hadn't realised you were back blogging! I,ve enjoyed looking at the ones I'd missed even the disappearing umbrella one! The caught in crystal idea is lovely and those mince pie boxes was such a great way of recycling. Today's card is a real winner - a great male card
