WOYWW - #352

Good Morning Deskers.

As it's Wednesday again it's time to link in with our hostess Julia on her Stamping Ground blog to show what is on our desks today.

Then it's a lot of fun to travel the globe to see what others have out on their desks and what they're working on.

My photo was taken on Tuesday evening and nothing has changed yet today as I'm on duty down in the house waiting for hubby's parcel to arrive - every Wednesday he goes out for lunch with a friend!

I will be doing the demo at our little club next month so I'm putting the kits together.

On the left is my Spellbinder Sapphire  machine which is very handy for cutting small dies as it doesn't require much handle turning and I can lift and move it about on my desk easily with one hand.

I'm using a couple of cupcakes and the sentiment from a Hero Arts set.  I've used both Archival and Memento to stamp the cupcakes for each person so they can decide which they want to use depending on what they are using for colouring in.

We are making a teepee card.  It's the first time I have made  one and I'm quite pleased with how it's turned out.

I paper pieced mine and haven't decorated the sides.  The idea is just to show the girls how the card is made.

I'm not usually so way ahead like this but I have to make a parchment card for this month and as my eyes are feeling a bit tired decided not to tackle very close work.

I'll start that tomorrow.

Wishing you all a happy week.

Love your card - and that is unbelievable. I just put a pack of tepee cards on one side to give to someone - might have to dig them out and use them now I have seen yours.

Hi Barb

Many thanks for starting to follow my blog .. .. it means I have found you now!

Great blog and lots of inspiration.

Loving your little craft cabin. It's a good job I don't have one of those. Hubby would never see mee .. .. and I doubt he would be wanting to bring me mugs of tea very often either LOL!!

Many thanks for your lovely comment too. You are very kind.

Love Jules xx

That card is so totally amazing, most things that have "fancy folds" mentally scare me to death but, that is so cool it has my curiosity up so, I may just have to google that... ~Stacy #53

Nice busy desk, Barb, and I like the teepee card - I'd never heard of that before. Thanks for your lovely enthusiastic comment - so glad you like my kitty art journal page. The biscuits certainly went down very well, with both patients and staff. I had a lovely afternoon in the unit and had some great conversations with several people. It's always nice to have the opportunity to encourage people while they are having their chemo because it can be a pretty horrible business and having someone who's come through it, cheering them on from the wings, does help! I've seen that advert with Phoebe the cat who's really a hat without a heartbeat lol! It's hilarious! I love all those Specsavers ads.

Hi there Barb. What a fun tepee card - love it! Must discover how to do that shape - it looks so great when finished.
All the best with the parchment work card today - I expect you have probably already finished it, I'm so late visiting.
Thanks for your visit and your comments. Have just read you profile and discovered you are in Northamptonshire - Hubby hails from there - Weldon to be precise. Hasn't lived there for a long time now though, although we have revisited in order to do some study on his family tree.
Take care. God bless.
