Snippets Flower

Good Morning Everyone.

I'm so glad to be back and joining in again now that I've recovered from another dose of a horrid bug.

I'd like to say thank you for all your good wishes and I'm slowly managing to catch up with what you'd all been doing as I mainly slept ......

Just before I got ill my Big Shot Plus arrived and I've only just started playing with it.

This was the first thing I made using my free Bigz die to cut out both layers of flowers.  It wasn't meant to be used, just playing but as I don't like throwing stuff away it turned into a card.

I've used lots of scraps.  The large flower was a scrap of white card, diecut, spritzed with water, screwed up then coloured with Distress ink and shaped.  The smaller flower was cut from some packaging which I coloured pink on the back with a Pro Marker and the centre was punched from a scrap and covered with Stickles.   I rubbed through some sequin waste with Black Soot DI for the background.

I'm going to pop over to join in with the girls at Miss Di's Snippets Playground Week 202

Pleased to read you are feeling a bit better, there are so many nasty bugs around just now, we need some frost to kill them off. Great first make with your Big Shot Plus, scrunching the flower to add texture is a great technique and recycling the packaging a lovely idea love your card Take care xx

Waste not indeedy. What a fab use of the bits you used to just try out your machine. Love the idea of using the sequin waste. I have loads of the stuff and never think to get it out. I've re located to the dinning room as the Decorator is busy putting up the new coving in the room I usually use. Hugs Mrs A.

This is fabulous Barb! Beautiful flower there and the background is just perfect to offset the flower and foliage whilst not so dark it detracts from the sentiment.

Glad to hear you're feeling a lot better - loads of nasty bug about right now. With all the 'hopping on crutches' visits to the docs it's gonna be a miracle if I don't catch summick else there - just to add to the fun and games :(

Hugs

Di xx
