Hello and Welcome.
First I would just like to thank you, Karen D for your visits and kind comments. I am so sorry but for the last couple of weeks I have been unable - goodness knows why- to leave comments on your blog although I have often called in.
My card today was made very quickly using just a small snippet of paper that has been around for a long time. I did a bit of stamping with the Old French Writing stamp then added a die cut using a Tim Holtz wild flower die. The "Hello" was cut from a scrap and I used the remains of the tiniest piece of foil, left from a workshop, to the flowers and added the small bow and three black gems to finish.
I decided to make a twofer from the piece of black card that was left after cutting the wild flower. I used the copier paper that I'd used to stamp-off on the first card as my backing.
I am popping over to join in with the playmates at

Fab card, love your layout and great use of the negative card too.
Maybe it wa a quick-card, but I think it is a beauty! Great combo in colours and a beautiful paper! Hope you have some sunshine today too!
Two beautiful cards with one die-cut . . . bargain! I love the French script you stamped on the first background piece and the foiling sets it off beautifully. The second one looks so different and the navy blue is perfect for a sympathy card! Have a great week! Luv n’ Hugs. Hazel xx

These are both beautiful Barb! Great colors on each one but I'm really fond of the sympathy card!
Two wonderful cards Barb! CAS and quick....the best kind. I might have to buy that die of the flower/weed...LOL
Love the contrast between the two cards and your use of 'scraps.' Anne x
I like your twofers. Good idea to reuse the copier paper. Looks great. Hugs Mrs A.
Two beautiful cards! Elegant and brilliant use of that flower die.

Two cards for the effort of one. THat worked out well. I laughed at the the "just weeds" title. Hubby always asks why some flowers get to be called flowers and others are weeds. Who is to say?!
Two fabulous cards Barb, especially love the first with the bits of foil added to the flowers xx
2 lovely cards,Barb.Love the beautiful wild flower and the writing stamp.

Hi Barb,
what very wonderful cards, and their designs are really lovely.
Love them both as they are both equally as nice.
Lots of crafty love. Jenny L.
Fabulous cards Barb, such a great idea to use the negative die cut to create a second card.

Barb, I have the same problems at some blogs. (and especially if they are Google -which I rejoined and am hoping to not have problems as I did last time with that...or the circles). I love this swiftly made card, which certainly doesn't look like a fast card. I love the soft suede tones of the paper, and clever to add the script stamping with the flower silhouette. It's a lovely look, in both the colorways you've done it. One for the stash, one to send! TFS & Hugs
Two fabulous creations, it is brilliant that you have made weeds look so good.

Love your card barb. I love the script stamp in the background and the lovely flower die cut. I have been MIA myself because I had a craft show you can see the pictures on my blog today. But it was worth all the hard work. Hugs Veerle xx
Great that you got two lovely cards for the price of one as it were. I've had that french script stamp forever I think and it is so useful. Love the flower die too

So beautiful Barb, very clever to make the second card of the leftover piece.
