Just Weeds!

Hello and Welcome.

First I would just like to thank you, Karen D for your visits and kind comments.  I am so sorry but for the last couple of weeks I have been unable - goodness knows why- to leave comments on your blog although I have often called in.

My card today was made very quickly using just a small snippet of paper that has been around for a long time.  I did a bit of stamping with the Old French Writing stamp then added a die cut using a Tim Holtz wild flower die. The "Hello" was cut from a scrap and I used the remains of the tiniest piece of foil, left from a workshop, to the flowers and added the small bow and three black gems to finish.

I decided to make a twofer from the piece of black  card that was left after cutting the wild flower.  I used the copier paper that I'd used to stamp-off  on the first card as my backing.

I am popping over to join in with the playmates at

Two beautiful cards with one die-cut . . . bargain! I love the French script you stamped on the first background piece and the foiling sets it off beautifully. The second one looks so different and the navy blue is perfect for a sympathy card! Have a great week! Luv n’ Hugs. Hazel xx

Two cards for the effort of one. THat worked out well. I laughed at the the "just weeds" title. Hubby always asks why some flowers get to be called flowers and others are weeds. Who is to say?!

Barb, I have the same problems at some blogs. (and especially if they are Google -which I rejoined and am hoping to not have problems as I did last time with that...or the circles). I love this swiftly made card, which certainly doesn't look like a fast card. I love the soft suede tones of the paper, and clever to add the script stamping with the flower silhouette. It's a lovely look, in both the colorways you've done it. One for the stash, one to send! TFS & Hugs
