Caught in Crystal

Hello and thank you very much for your visit today.

As I was out for most of the weekend  I'm still  catching up with visits so I apologise if I've not visited you recently.

I've been trying to think about what I could do for the Butterfly Challenge as I wasn't quite sure what colour to use. Then I remembered the caught in crystal technique which I've not used for several years.

Using some acetate packaging I got out a small selection of green and yellow ink pads, spread the colour randomly onto the acetate and then spritzed with water.

I zig- zagged on top with Glossy Accents and sprinkled on a little glitter then laid a piece of crumpled up tissue on top, pressed down a little and left for a day to dry.

The butterfly was cut with memory box dies from scraps of card and paper and the right hand panel is a scrap of white card which I embossed and rubbed lightly with metallic rub ons.

I would like to enter my card into the following challenges:
The Butterfly challenge #69 - Z for zero and/or zucchini
Pixies Snippets Playground Weeks 263 & 264
Making Memories Challenge #1 - Anything Goes

Great to see this technique come around - we tend to forget some of them as there are so many ways of making cards. A lovely result for the butterfly challenge.

Another clever and pretty technique Barb and the embossing goes beautifully with it and I adore the dark butterfly and circular embellishments which add good contrast to the other lighter tones. x
