Smiles this Week

Good Morning Smilers!

We arrived home yesterday afternoon after a lovely holiday in Dorset spent with friends.  The last of the washing is now blowing away on the line.

Having watched every series of the Monkey World programmes on the television and feeling we almost knew both the animals and keepers I was keen to visit the rescue centre.  So that was the reason for our holiday which was booked a few weeks ago.

Our friends Pat and Allan  drove from Essex and we met up at the lovely B&B we had chosen.

When it was time to come home we all agreed we'd had liked another couple of days.  The weather was great and Dorset is a beautiful part of the country which I'd not visited since childhood.

The photo of the ring tailed lemur was taken at Monkey World and the second photo is me feeding swans at the Swannery on Tuesday.

I didn't worry about my diet and enjoyed some delicious meals, several big glasses of red wine and an ice cream each day.  I've put 4lbs back on but am now back on track and sure that will soon be off

I'm linking up with Annie on her Stitch in Time blog where she invites us to share our Smiles of the Week every Friday.

Have a lovely Weekend Everybody!

It looks like we've had the same ideas of getting away for a while. We got back from the coast and then went to Macclesfield to see some friends so it's been a bit hectic. I hope you have a lovely restful weekend, Angela x

A couple of great photographs Barb, love the lemur, my eldest boy has a lemur onesie suit and it has a great big tail like that. The dog loves it and chases him.
I wouldn't worry about the diet, we can't be good all the time. x

Have a super weekend, hugs Erika. x

These are awesome pictures. I love them! And you look beautiful, I'm glad you enjoyed your time and let yourself indulge a little bit, we all need that, perhaps I think I might need to practice a bit more restraint in my dieting..

Hi Barb and happy Friday. Sounds like you had a lovely holiday especially if you'd like to stay longer. Those swans look fabulous - all white and graceful, but I know they can be aggressive - those ones must be well fed. Anyway have a wonderful weekend, cheers Robyn

You shouldn't have to watch your weight on holiday. I am sure you will soon be back on track. Dorset is where I lived as a child, and there are so many lovely places to visit around there. I am glad you had a good time there. Kate x

Oh my gosh! That's like a zillion swans. The ring tailed lemur is very neat looking. I won't show Charles my cat. He'd have tail envy.

I love your photos Barb. I have been to Dorset quite a few times over the years and it is lovely. I have been to the swannery at Abbotsbury but more years ago than I care to remember, but have never been to Monkey World. Glad you had a great time there. x
