Howdy!

Good Evening and thank you for calling in.

I went to a dabble day the weekend before last where we made a card very similar to this one and I have used techniques we did on the day.

The stamps are a Woodware set which includes another shorter boot.  I'm planning on making some girly cards as I think they'd work well for line dancers.

The background is scored and rubbed over with distress inks.  The hat and boots were stamped and  embossed in black onto brown paper which had been screwed up and stuck onto pieces of card.

The birthday sentiment is from a Paula Pascal set.

I'd like to enter my card into the
Crazy Catz Challenge # 335 (anything goes / optional twist - hats)

Brilliant card and there are a lot of line dances and Country music fans out there that would absolutely love this card, and so do I by the way and I am definitely not a line dancer but I do like Country music. I must say though that I am more of a Cancan dancer!

I love the effect you have achieved with the scrunched up paper on the hat and boots. The background looks good too. Thankyou for following Norm's antics this past month and joining in the comments. Norm has greatly appreciated his fan club. Hugs Mrs A. and a big one from Norm. Sorry he is not up to waving right now.

What a great card Barb and such a clever idea to use brown paper which is slightly scrunched when glued on the card as this gives lots of texture, and love the twine round the sentiment, really beautifully organic. x
