Very Pink

Good afternoon and thank you for visiting.

I've finally finished my tidy up and it's lovely to be able to work with space around on my worktop. How silly of me to think that everything would be straightforward.

I've only made a few cards but can you believe I've managed to lose my clouds die on my first attempt.  It's disappeared into space - literally and is only the second die I have ever lost.  The first was a bee several years ago.

Anyway the positive news is I have now lost 11lbs and finding my joints are far less painful and I'm sleeping much better.

Well my card for today was made with Mrs. A's Butterfly challenge P for Punches/Pink in mind.  It's very pink, I think you will agree and I used punches for all butterflies and the sentiment too.

As I used snippets for the banners, literally finishing up some scraps, my card also qualifies for the challenge at Pixies Snippets Playground - Week 240

Agreed it is very pink but then they did ask for that with the butterflies!!! Really pretty card and great that you've covered two challenges with one. Well done with the weight, a loss always makes you feel good doesn't it? Not so good about losing the die though - I've lost track of the number of times I've scrabbled through my crafty
rubbish bin searching for either a tiny die or clear stamp which has disappeared.

I'm sure your clouds die can't have gone far. After all look out the window and they are never far away! Lol. Love the banner idea and a card can never be too pink for me. Thankyou for fluttering by my challenge where your card will be entered twice. Hugs Mrs A.

Congrats on the weight loss too.
I keep losing weight too, but it keeps finding me back. LOL
No serious, I'm on that road also, lost 4 kilo now, still a highway to go
before I am at my destination weight. Sigh.
Take care, hugs Veerle x

First of all, big congrats on your amazing weight loss! It's hard. isn't it? Secondly, I am with you on the loss of your die . . . I have lost stamps like that, I did find one months later, but there is still one floating around somewhere in space! LOVE your card Barb, and yes, it is very pink, but so pretty! Have a great day! Well done on the weight loss Barb! Go you :) I also love your snippets card, being pink it delighted me even more of course!

Re. the missing die, I have a telescopic pen-like thingy here (a bit like the pointers used in the old days of OHPS and white screens!). Instead of a point though it has a little round magnet on the end and is absolutely invaluable for sweeping around looking for tiny metal dies and such. A friend originally bought it for me when I used to sew a lot and was forever dropping pins on the floor. Screwfix sell them :: http://www.screwfix.com/p/magnetic-pick-up-tool-630mm/18440?kpid=18440&cm_mmc=Google-_-Product%20Listing%20Ads-_-Sales%20Tracking-_-sales%20tracking%20url&gclid=CjwKEAjwz4u9BRCbioK3stnBznESJADA75xbSLt4I2r5M4OVRltxL3c_nDIrS3gYIfHoP2iJot847hoCPgDw_wcB

And Len borrows it too needless to say! :)

Great to see you in the Playground.

Hugs

Di xx

Well done on all counts! Are you going to keep your desk tidy, though? I always have the best intentions... Wonderful pink card. The papers look perfect against the pink. I hope you find your missing die.

I am having a giggle as every time I use my cloud dies I lose them too!

Your card is lovely and I am sure the errant dies will surface!

Well I love pink & this is one beautiful pink card, Barb! Good for you on the 11 pounds lost already!

Another fabulous card. Shame about your die. I bought the spellbinders magnetic diamond. It's a large 3D gem in blue plastic that has a strong magnet on the top face of it so I just chuck up my dies at it when I've finished with them. I think it was about £8 on Amazon. My other top tip is a telescopic pick up magnetic tool, I stick it in the bin and rummage it about to check if I've lost a die and it doubles up as very handy if I drop a die on the floor. They're a pain to pick up being flat otherwise and have you noticed that people keep lowering the floor? It never used to be that far away! Big congratulations on the weight loss. I've put on 3 stone due to my medication, well, helped by chocolate too and am struggling to motivate myself to lose it. Cara x

Well done on your weight loss!

Gorgeous card, love the patterned banners against the pink background. Hope your die turns up, it's so frustrating when you lose one. xx

I agree with you... tidying up is never straightforward or quick. I always end up making more mess before anything looks any better!
Beautiful, gorgeous pink design, Barb. Love the layout.
Glad things are continuing to improve for you...

I really like the layered banners and great mix of dsp on your card. Congrats on the weight loss - keep up the great work! I lost my favorite button die to the inside of my Big Shot machine! It went up into the rollers and I heard it drop inside, so I know where it is, but I'm not taking the BS apart to retrieve it.......at least not yet :)

Barb said...

Oh Gosh - now I've never heard of that before and that's ONE place I haven't looked.

What a pretty card Barb and a great way to use up snippets on the banners, and love the tiny butterflies as well as the larger with that patterned paper underneath. Wonderful news about the weight loss. It isn't easy and you are doing so well! Sorry about the die that's gone missing. I hate it when I lose anything, and I went looking for my falling snow stencil which is one of my favourites, and couldn't find it anywhere. I searched high and low and it hasn't come to light yet! I live in hopes though. It is very frustrating so hope it turns up soon. x
