Hello and thank you for your visit.
The card that I'm sharing today was made for Mrs. A's Butterfly Challenge # 53 - T is for Teal/Texture.
I used an Inspiration Crafts spritzer onto white card for the background and then rubbed over the white spaces with Distress ink. I rubbed texture paste through a mask and stamped the text into the spaces then used the same stamp onto the white linen card blank.
I couldn't believe my luck when I found a scrap of matching coloured paper just lying there on my desk.
I used a punch which leaves the image still attached for the butterfly then added the black card and sentiment to the bottom of the paper.
I matted the panel of paper onto white card and stuck the body of the butterfly down then finished by drawing antennae, adding a few pearls and dots of Dovecraft enamel paste and of cause some glitter to the wings..

Great texture effect on this card and how lucky you had some teal card to match the spray - just right for the challenge

This is one of my favourite colours but I have yet to manage a card for the challenge. Yours is great. Lovely inky background and pretty butterfly. I like the black lacy punch too.

I love the black with the teal. The contrast is so striking. I like how you have carried the script stamping onto the white of the background. I have a flower punch that cuts the pattern halfway but have never been able to get good results from it. Not a cheap brand either. Thankyou for fluttering by my challenge where your card will be entered twice. Hugs Mrs A.
Love the design of your card Barb and great colour combo

Wonderful colour theme here Barb, I love the butterfly and your fantastic background, a very beautiful card, Kate x
Barb, we must be channeling each other with the paste! Love the harlequin design you've stenciled through...very abstract with the script stamping, and looks so vintage as well. One gorgeous teal butterfly, and the lifted wings adds so much dimension. Looks like a lovely entry into Mrs. A's challenge (which I'm trying to find time to make something before it closes!) TFS & Hugs
