Sapphire Butterflies

Hello  and thank you for your visit today.

I made this card yesterday for the challenge on Mrs. A's
Butterfly Challenge blog where the challenge this time is S for Stamping/Sapphire.

I was given some of these triangular cards by a friend at our craft club on Monday so decided to use one for this challenge.

I covered the front of the card with some sparkly blue card which unfortunately was very difficult to photograph.  Next I cut a scrap of white card to fit on top, embossed with a folder in my Cuttlebug then rubbed lightly over the raised areas with Tea Dye distress ink.

I delved through my box of snippets of ribbon and found this piece of blue and purple variegated thread which I added to the bottom then stuck on the three blue hearts which are one of the first things I ever bought when I started paper crafting.

The two butterflies are from a sheet of stickers of butterflies in various colours. They hve also been around for a very long time and I'm gradually managing to use them up.

The two I chose were stuck to white card, bent into shape and attached to my card.   I think this fits the remit for The Butterfly Challenge  #48
House Of Cards Challenge - Shaped Cards

What a gorgeous card! I have some of those triangles in my stash and didn't know what to do with them. Now I know. I recognize those butterflies. I have them too. They are old but very beautiful I think.
I refer to this master chart often. If you can’t find an ingredient listed below, go there!

Thanks for your visit,

So unusual and stunning card, LOVE it! I can see the sparkly blue on the background, but it must be very shining in person!
The embossed panel coloured with the tea dye ink is very elegant and the thread with the delightful hearts is a catch-eye!

This is an usual shape for a card but suits the butterflies perfectly. I made a few triangle Christmas tree cards a few years ago, which worked well. The colours on the butterflies so pretty.
It is good to see you over at the Butterfly Challenge.

Gorgeous triangular card--the colors are so pretty and those butterflies so exquisite. The fiber and jewels are the perfect match for everything. And yes, the geiger counter on my table is just for decoration (although it is a real one from the cold war days).
