Fluttering by!

Afternoon All,

I've been a bit stumped on what to do for Mrs. A's challenge this month.  However while I was sorting out a snippets card I decided this would fit the challenge.

So here's a card I demonstrated at one of our village craft clubs a couple of months ago.  I've not shown this card before.

I used a snippet of paper down the side.  The sentiment is from a Stampman set inked in grey and a snippet of white card for the circle.

The wings of the butterfly are made from two 2" squares of washi paper and the body from is a paper bead which was made from a strip of the same paper.  I made the antennae from craft wire and stuck a couple of beads on the end.  The "Joy" is a Kidomo wooden stamp.

I would like to enter this into The Butterfly Challenge "O for over the edge" and also into
The Snippets Playground - Week 215

I really like that red paper and it's inspired to make a bead for the body with it! Everything matches. It makes a lovely and usual card.

Gorgeous card! Love that awesome butterfly! The washi paper is beautiful! I've always had a fascination with washi paper - it's super expensive here so I don't have any but it's so beautiful.

This is so pretty, Barb. I love the Oriental look and delicate paper folding of the butterfly.

You have reminded me that it is soon Chinese New years. I had better get cracking on with a similar card as I have two Oriental neighbours at this new house. Thought I would make them up a card!

This card really caught my eye so I had to come and check it out. I've no luck with origami or fancy folds so this card really delights me.
