Share a Smile on Friday

Morning All!

It's good to be back sharing a smile on Friday again where we link up to Annie's Stitch in Time blog each week with our happy thoughts.

I've not smiled a lot over the past couple of weeks as I caught another of those horrid bugs.  I, who, boasts that I seldom catch a cold have managed to catch three bugs in two months.

Anyway I missed the NEC last weekend and two workshops all in one week and I'd paid for them all too.  No doubt I've saved us a bit of money overall - you know what I mean .....

But I did smile when this lovely card, along with a selection of Christmas diecut sentiments arrived unexpectedly from my web buddie Jools.  Thank you so much my friend for giving me a big smile this week.

Hope you all enjoy a good week.

Hi Barb,
what a wonderful card.
I'm not surprised this gave you a smile, as it's lovely.
So wonderful for blogging buddies to appreciate when one is bit down because of illness, and send you something wonderful.
Lots of crafty love. Jenny L.

Isn't it lovely that just something so simple as sending a card to someone can make all the difference to their world. So glad your friend cheered you up in this way - lovely card too.
Hugs, Neet xx

PS I also like Italian balads (I worked in Italy for more than 10 years) and I love Irish folk music. My DH leaded a 10 piece folk band before retiring. He was also the caller when they did barn dances. I love the music! Unfortunately I have two left feet, and DH woulld sometimes call me onto the floor to demonstrate! He would say: If my missus can do it, anyone can do it!

Was interested to hear about your hubby. We used to do American square dancing and I loved it - all those do si dos and skirt swinging. We did ballroom for years and used to hire our village hall two mornings a week until about five years ago. Had to give it up because of the dreaded arthritis. Barbxx

What a beautiful card to get Barb, and I'm so pleased it gave you so much pleasure. I've managed to get a head cold, and hubby can't understand how this has happened as I've had the flu jab, trying to explain that they are ont one and the same is making me feel worse, honestly i sometimes wonder......... A lovely card from a kind friend. I had one this week too. I am sorry you missed the show and your workshops. How disappointing. But as you say, the shows can do some real damage to your finances! Always look on the bright side etc.... I hope you feel much better soon. Kate xx
