Hello!

Hello and Happy Monday.

First I would like to give a very warm welcome to my two new blog friends Krisha and Amanda. I',m  so glad that you decided to join me here.  I'm sure they would both be very pleased if you paid them a visit.

For today's card I used some of a recently pulled gelli plate print for the background. I stamped a Martha Stewart rose onto a page from an old gardening book. After tearing round the stamped image I coloured  it with two Promarkers  and inked the edges with Distress ink.

The sentiment is also by Martha Stewart and I coloured the two gems with a peel off marker.  I put one clear gem onto the smaller rose.

I would like to take my card over to join in at Di's Snippet Playground Week 203

Love roses (nearly as much as the cardinal images!) and this is a particularly lovely one. I like the way you've done the soft coloring over the print - it looks just lovely & vintage. Also loving that gelli background! (and yes, I did start afresh today, but still feel a bit guilty if I've missed someone! ). Will try to pay a visit to your new friends, and perhaps they will become my new friends too! Have a wonderful week, and TFS.

Really beautiful Barb! Oh I truly must get my Gelli plate out for a another play -I just didn't give it enough of a try before putting it to one side :( That background is beautiful and the roses stamped onto the gardening book page is a super idea. One to try - and the single gem on one of the roses is such a lovely finishing touch too!

Hugs

Di xx
