Birthday Box

Good Afternoon and thank you for visiting.

I made this little box as a gift for a friend a couple of months ago.

I wasn't sure if I'd be able to print onto the Centura pearl card  but it worked really well.

After putting the box together I added a diecut trim around the bottom.  I stamped 'Birthdays' onto some pink card and stuck it to the bottom.

The twelve tags are cut from pearl white card then I stamped the months and tiny flowers randomly is a light brown colour around the edges for decoration onto some pink card for each tag.

The ribbons are all odd snippets from a box of ribbon offcuts.

I'm really annoyed with myself as I've put the dimensions away somewhere safe and can't remember where the safe place is ..... I'm sure you know the feeling.

I'd like to enter this little box into the following challenges:-

Hi Barb,
what a brilliant design, and a very brilliant idea.
Love this fab design, and what a wonderful way to use up snippets be them card or ribbon.
Isn't it just crazy how the mind works sometimes.
I can remember mundane things, but something to do with craft, and where you put it just frustrates me too so much.
You can spend ages looking for something when you could spend the time crafting.
Lots of crafty love. Jenny L.

I have never seen a birthday box done with tags before, what a great idea Barb. As for the instructions, I find once I go and look for something totally different, that is when I find them. Pretend you are not looking for them and you will most certainly come across them. It works everytime.
Your tags are lovely as are all the different snippets of ribbon.

Hugs Erika. x

PS - I meant to say, it took some searching on the internet for me to work out what the extra die is for in the stepper card set :) It fits nicely inside, and could have a sentiment printed on it before cutting out or would be fine on the back I guess.

A beautiful box Barb and a great idea....what a lovely gift. My safe place must be overflowing now...lost count of the number of things in it!! What I want to know is why it's so obvious when you putting the thing in yet it's the last place you'd think of to look!! Carol x

Barb, congrats on your pick and blog candy win at the playground! It is so fun just to play along, but it is exciting to win too. Well deserved, this is such a clever and pretty project.

Barb this is great and I really have now got to create one for myself as I'm dreadful at remembering birthdays so this will help. I too would love the dimensions if you find them. I haven't forgotten about your candy huni - I caught another virus so not been out of the house for months now Karen xx
