An Oldie on Friday

Here's my "Oldie" for Friday.

I'm linking up with Erika on her Snappy Crafts blog where we link up each Friday to show something we made a long time ago.  It's just for fun.  If you leave a comment for Erika she'll know you called.

First I'd like to welcome my new friend Bev.  So glad you joined me here.

I made this card a long time ago using a stamped image sent by a web buddy.  Isn't she lovely.  Unfortunately I don't know what the stamp is.

Anyway I added a little colour to her cheek and covered her with glitter.

The pricking is done with a brass stencil that lingers in a black metal box of numerous brass stencils that seldom see the light of day.  Paper pricking was very popular about ten years ago.

The sentiment is a well loved Stamp Addicts rubber stamp.   I think there is an oriental look to the font.

Happy Crafting everyone!

Hi Barb.......I remember pricking stencils...how styles have changed over the years! but I am sure they will see a revival one day...most things seem to pop up again. Glad you are feeling better after your bugs and thank you for your lovely comment on my blog too! xx

Love the glitter on this classy lady, who is reminiscent of another era. So pretty, and the delicate pricked design trimming the bottom is just so lovely! What a nice way to glam up an already delightful look. Never tried the 'pricking' but it looks great. TFS & Have a wonderful weekend.

Love covering an image with clear glitter--one of the things I learned my first year of stamping & need to use that technique again! The paper pricking is beautiful--no reason not to use it now!
