Faux Leather Shoe

Good Morning!  Thank you for visiting my blog.

This evening it's our craft club meeting in the village chapel.  We're a small group who get together once a month and take turns to do demonstrations.

This is a demo that I did with everyone several months ago.  It uses Wendy Stenton's shoe template. We used the template to make the card then tore off pieces of masking tape which we stuck randomly onto the shoe.   Using our own choice of colour we used dye ink pads to colour the shoe.

Next we used a versamark ink pad, sprinkled on clear embossing powder and set with our heat tools.  It may take two or three applications of embossing powder to cover well and get a good shine because of the uneven surface.  Again, unfortunately, my photographic skills have let me down and the shine doesn't show too well.  It really did look like a shiny shoe when finished!

The flowers are from a Hero Arts/ Sizzix  set of stamps and dies.  I used an embossing folder on green card and then rubbed over it with a gold metallic wax then stuck on and trimmed to make the background.

Wendy is back from Spain for a visit and she is coming along to do a demonstration with us this evening.  It will be lovely to see her again and I'm  really looking forward to finding out which WS template we will be using.
