Hello and Welcome
I've seen lots of these lego cards on the internet but never made one before. So I was delighted when I went to a workshop at Loobi Crafts yesterday and this was one of the cards we made.
Now things are still rather busy and stressful here at the moment and although I've done a bit of relaxing card making over the past couple of weeks I've not entered challenges or spent much time on my laptop.
Mrs A has changed the format of her Butterfly Challenge this year and we have to spin the butterfly wheel where she sets us seven - yes seven criteria.
I was thinking about The Butterfly Challenge #96
which seemed very much out of my comfort zone. Then suddenly, looking at the cards I made yesterday I realised that I'd used all the colours required on this card and although there is stamping involved the card is rectangular and with a butterfly and numbers added I would have used six of the requirements.
So - I punched a butterfly from a snippet of white card, coloured it yellow and using a Tim Holtz stencil, placed very carefully on top, with navy coloured ink I stencilled on the number. Job Done!
As I used a small piece of card for the butterfly I hope I'll also qualify for Pixies Snippets Playground - Challenge 321

Hello Barb! How lovely to see you in the Snippets Pa layground again - we do miss you when you're busy with other stuff. Hope all is OK with you both - and card making certainly is a great stress buster. I love Lego cards and have made a few in my time - such a simple idea but so clever. I may well pinch this layout please as I love the design of yours Barb with the word Birthday across the centre. Knowing me I'll forget to use the layout but will give full credit to you of course. And yes, even the teensiest snippet is fine for the Playground :)
Like St Trinians - we have very few Playground rools and what we do have are generally cast aside!

That is such fun Bar and the bright primary colours are of course spot on, my eldest would have loved that when he was a little boy - well probably still would, he had boxes of the stuff handed down one by one to his siblings and not living in the shed.

A brilliant Lego effect, there are very many people (large and small) who would appreciate this. It fits perfectly with the butterfly challenge too. x
Ten out of ten for initiative . I love how you got the seventh element onto the butterfly. A brilliant bright and cheerful card, just what is needed with the weather like it is at the moment. Thank you for coming and spinning the butterfly wheel this week. Hugs Mrs A.

Brilliant creation!!
What a super card, Barb, very clever to use the design for Mrs A's Butterfly Challenge. These Lego cards are so effective, aren't they? I last made one for by great nephew's 5th birthday and he's 8 years old now! Thanks for the inspiration to make another one. xx

A fantastic card Barb, my grandson would love this card as he's into Duplo (big lego) at the moment. Love how you managed to make it fit the butterfly challenge too.

Hi Barb, it just as if I am looking at a card made with Lego! How clever you have done this and I like it so much.
Over here it looks a bit like spring now with 17°C today. Last week we had minus 10° and were skating on ice! Nothing changes so quickly like the westher...

This is so cute & just so colorful. How clever of you that it fit with the Butterfly challenge AND that you used up some snippets. Hope life will relax a bit for you, but we go through this from time to time. Just do what must be done, and we're all here when you are ready to visit blogland again. Happy for you that you are able to do some crafty stuff. TFS & Hugs
So glad you found time to craft - it's so therapeutic, and your result is stunning! Love it

This is such a fun technique and gives a really realistic look. I did one once and it is a great card. Love yours with the sentiment across the middle.
This is a great card Barb and really fun with the lego, and the added butterfly works well too, and a lovely large sentiment too. x
