Make a Wish

Good Morning!

I wonder how many of you in the UK took advantage of an extra hour in bed as the clocks changed.  Well I certainly enjoyed a lie in as it's been a very busy few weeks for me.

This is one of several very quick cards I made this week.  I'm going to Blackpool on Friday with a friend for four days to see the illuminations.  I've never been to Blackpool before and want to get my box of charity cards sent before I go.

Last week I bought a couple of 6 x 6 paper pads in the Works for £2 each.  The whole background is just a piece of one sheet.  I bought the little unicorn and a bunny stamp from Hobbycraft (Dovecraft) which I used for all the cards.

I stuck the paper onto some black card then diecut a round aperture and mounted onto my white card after cutting the black frame from the black card.

The unicorn was stamped onto a snippet of DCWV paper and fussy cut out.  I put him onto foam pads and popped him inside the aperture.  Finally I added some glitter pen to areas of the background and the unicorn then stamped the Paula Pascal twice onto the background.

I'm popping over to Pixies Snippets Playground - Weeks 305 & 306 with my card.

Planned a lie in but seems our dogs have a built in clock and counted the hours till it was time to get up, which was soon after 5am, bet they won't have the same problem expecting dinner at five instead of six tonight though.

It's a great funky design to your lovely card Barb.

The clocks changed in the rest of Europe aswell... So I took the extra hour to do more! (And was up early because of the difference :)! ) So my day is going great and I have done so much...maybe I will have some stampingtime later through all the hard and quick work :)
A fun card and it may look simple, but again you used nice techniques! Have a fun (and looong) Sunday!

Enjoy your visit to the Blackpool illuminations. I went there years ago and it really was quite a sight. Don't forget to buy your 'Kiss me Quick' hat!

It was lovely to have a lie in today and enjoy the extra hour in bed. xx

So sweet Barb and I love the little unicorn! What a bargain from The Works. Hope you enjoy Blackpool, long time since I was there but my very first visit aged five was to see the Illuminations! Of course, they were just magical at that age. Like going to visit fairyland :)

Love that little unicorn - not seen that in my local Works. You've used it to great effect with all the other fab details. Love that P Pascale stamp - still one of my go to sets.
