Batch Making

Hello and Welcome

Last week I spent an afternoon using my Misti to batch make a set of cards using some new stash.

I bought the Spellbinders stepper die at a table top sale a few weeks ago and this was it's first time out.

The bird and branch were in a freebie set of stamps and dies with a recent magazine and the single flower was lying on my table, stamped and diecut from an older freebie set.

I recently went to Loobi Crafts for a workshop using Craftwork cards materials and the paper is scraps which were leftover from the class.  I still have lots of the diecut sentiments, candi and full sheets of the pretty papers to play with.

I stamped then diecut six birds and wings from scraps of white card.

Next I put one of the scraps into my Misti and put the diecuts into the holes in the scraps.

I placed the stamps in the right position to stamp the wings, heads and bodies of the birds then stamped in my chosen colours.  I removed the wings as they were finished and switched the birds over so that I could stamp the reverse parts.

I made three of the cards using various pieces of this set of papers and the other three birds I have put aside to use later.

I am taking my card over to join in  at Pixies Snippets Playground Weeks 293 & 294

Love the card and your method with the Misti is what I use for stamping all sorts of die cuts which have matching stamps - so much better than the hit or miss method of the 'olden days'. Unfortunately I've not been to the shops for a couple of weeks so have missed that magazine and probably others - not that I actually NEEDED any of them!! While confined to barracks I have been using lots of my 'stuff' to make cards.

Fabulous stepper card Barb! And how interesting to read how you first die cut and then stamped the images afterwards! I've never tried that - it's now on my 'to do list'! :) Very good that you took the time and trouble to show how as well. Thanks!

Hugs

We definitely buy the same magazines! Love how you stamped and die cut the birds and what a great idea to add them to a stepper card, I'd never have thought of doing that, but it looks brilliant x

Oh, such delightful card!! I have seen this stamp set in the magazine and falling in love with this bird set (but sadly I haven't bought it, the delivery to Italy is too much expensive!).
Love so much how you used your new stepper die with the pretty papers and the fabulous bird to make some cards. Misti is very useful and you has been very accurate making the birdies also to reverse! Well done!

What a wonderful card! I need to make some more stair step cards. A die sure would make them easier but I can still measure and cut.... although maybe not today since my brain is wore out.
