Spotted in the "Neck" of Time

Good Evening Folks,

First I would like to give a warm welcome to my two new followers Babs and Kelly .  I hope you will be able to visit their blogs to see the lovely work they do.

My card today was made with a scrap of paper from my snippets box and a small piece of core card which I embossed and rubbed back.  I distressed the edges and matted onto a scrap of black card.

The giraffe was stamped onto a scrap of white card with a Lawn Fawn stamp and cut from the matching die.

The sentiment is from a set by Lindsay Mason.

I'm taking my card over to join in with the playmates at Pixies Snippets Playground - Week 271 & 272

Great card Barb - and such a sweet little giraffe! Gosh you're brave rubbing the paper back to the core - I always make such an uneven mess when I try that!

Barb - how enchanting! I love this beautiful giraffe and the card you have nestled it into! Just beautifully done! How creative - and courageous - to get the paper to this state - it's fabulous ♥ Mine always seem to rip! LOL

Lovely card Barb - however, I did have a bit of a moment when you mentioned distressed edges! It looks great and I really like the effect but I have to force myself to do it .... just occasionally, to prove that I am not obsessive about clean cut edges. The card is so cute and I love the little giraffe stamp and colours you have used. Anne xx

What a great wildlife card. I had to "awwww' over the giraffe. I was poking around in random places in my craft room recently and found all my Lawn Fawn stamps. I put them in a "special place" which basically means I never remember I have them. Must rectify that!

Super cute & sweet, and I like the subtle shades of the tan colors. The core card looks like fabric too! It's a darling little giraffe, and how well you've placed him in this design. The side embossing looks so nice too. It's a lovely birthday card - for either gender! TFS & Hugs
