Out for an inking!

Good Afternoon and I hope you're having a good day.

I decided to get some of my old stamps out for an inking.  This card was made using a Hero Arts stamp and Sizzix die from a set I've had for quite a few years.

I stamped the background card with a versamark pad and embossed with clear embossing powder. I used three marker pens to ink up the same stamp then diecut the image and layered up with foam pads.

I gave up on trying to photograph this after a while as either the heat embossing on the background didn't show or the flower image looked blown out.

I would like to enter the following challenges:

 Sweet Stampin'  - Flowers
Shopping Our Stash #290 - No Hearts

Oh, that is so striking Barb! I LOVE the way the colour of that pretty flower just pops against that black card-stock! Sometimes it nice to revive some of the good, old 'faithfuls' and give them a bit of love! It's certainly paid off here and with the contemporary background you created you have brought it bang up to date! Have a wonderful weekend! Luv n’ Hugs. Hazel xx

I always think that black cards look so elegant Barb and I love how you have added pink into the mix with your lovely flower. The white mat around the flower frames it so beautifully and you sure do know how to tie a good bow!

I'd forgotten how lovely a background can be with versamark images, and clear-embossing them takes them to a whole new level! This is just gorgeous with the big pink flower!

Your card is beautiful Barb, I love it. Also, I completely can relate to the picture taking of my cards. It's a bit frustrating trying to get all the elements to show up so nicely. However that being said I think you did a fabulous job capturing the beauty of your card.
