Good Morning and today I'm sharing with you a blast from the past.
I was just commenting on Mrs.As blog and was reminded of some cards I made ten or more years ago. Hence, a very wonky and fuzzy photo.
I bet some of you will remember when Petra, a lady from Holland was on Create and Craft regularly with all sorts of kits, stamps and especially brass stencils for doing all sorts of things.
Well I bought a kit of these pricking cards and really enjoyed making them at the time.
A sentiment was added later. What a shame I didn't put a butterfly on this one!
Did anyone else buy these? I'm off to watch Chocolate Baroque on Hochanda now.
Happy Crafting!

Hey Barb, this is wow, lovely, love that gorgeous paper piercing... Have you still got the card? Why not add a butterfly if you have, it's stunning. Am wondering how long it took you to do all of that pricking at the time. Thanks for your sweet comment too...hugs..xxx
Love the border you made; looks so simple, but takes a lot of work... Hope you enjoyed the program!
A lovely card and yes, I used to do a lot of paper pricking and still have a couple of Ornare stencils.

All that piercing looks lovely Barb, such an effective border : )
The paper piercing is certainly a blast from the past - I have several metal templates stashed away somewhere!!
A beautiful card Barb, such pretty and delicate piercing. Don't buy too much from Hochanda!

I remember it well!! and yea they are still siting there...the stencils that is...perhaps they will see a resurgence...but only if I get rid of them perhaps...lol...SO I will hang on to them and all my other stuff that may be useful. I,ve watched chocolate Baroque today too...OH MY! what beautiful, really beautiful stamps...I wanted them all but sat on my hands and reminded myself about all the lovely NBUS...stamps that are in my room...smug grin....but fabulous shows with Lesley...one talented lady and some good tips. So back to your card Barb lovely and yes now you would titivate differently...progerss!!(smilng here )..after all we are still pricking the edges of cards so who's to say we shouldn't do it all again!! xx
I too remember.....quite therapeutic, and I have friends who still do the stitched cards too. I recorded choc baroque as I had a class this afternoon xxx
Wow! Now that's some awesome paper piercing! Excellent work!
love the soft tones of the image, it sits beautifully on the pierced background
I have never seen this before, but surely it looks GORGOUS!! Awwww... great piercing, so delicate!
That looks like lots of fun but you must have been very patient. I never tried it but I have seen similar things and resisted!
this is beautiful Barb - and shows how patient you are - or once were!!! Beautiful! Hugs rachel x
It's gorgeous! The paper piercing looks very relaxing, I have not really tried it! xxx
I still have several of the stencils Barb, I did make a few cards but it was very time consuming and I'm not very patient ! Missed Chocolate Baroque today as I was off to Embsay crafts to buy some card stock and tape and yes several more stamps LOL
Love your card from the past . I wasn't crafting then as still at work and had never heard of the craft channel . Don't know now how I ever had the time to go to work. I need more hours.! Hugs Mrs A.
How remiss off me, I didn't say what a pretty card it is.
Well, this is a walk down memory lane Barb, I do remember them too! Pretty card, gorgeous colours.

Oh my gosh Barb that paper piercing must of taken forever. Your design is just beautiful.
Hugs Diane
That is some very stunning paper piercing work on this card! I love every detail!
yes - I remember these - I too bought a kit of four cards to make, and the pricker I bought at the same time is one of my most used tools, even today!! I also have a 'stencil' type of guide to make some more cards....
Blessings
Maxine
Hi Barb,
oh what beautiful paper piercing.
The design is awesome, and must have taken ages.
Love it and thank you for reminding me that I have some of Petra's items to use.
Lots of crafty love. Jenny L.
Hi Barb, beautifully designed card, never tried anything like this and never saw these kits, probably before I got the bug.
I feasted on the CB shows as I love the stamps, but didn't buy from Hochanda, some stamps I had, but I did check out the prices, and if bought through CB shop would have been less expensive, sometime I think these channels are just rip off merchants, and that really annoys me, have a lovely day Kate x
What patience you must have - but the result of your work is stunning. I must drag myself away from the paint pots and try some of your techniques - oh, for a few more hours in the day! Anne x
So sweet and beautiful. Love the paper piercing.

Great card Barb. Love the flower,

The old ones are often the best. Have a great weekend, Angela xXx
So elegant and classy! Beautiful! Lucy x
Gosh Barb I have a box full of pricking dies that haven't seen the light of day for a very long time...your card is gorgeous
Anne
Gorgeous paper piercing, I've never tried it though. Must have taken you quite some time to do.
Hugs, Lisa
Hi Barb, Maisie and Stan send big hugs xXx
I DO remember when paper piercing was the "rage", I gave it a few tries, but it really never turned out as beautiful as you card.
You have a lot more patience than me - it looks spectacular though.
Love the piercing--beautiful card, Barb!
I have several piercing templates! Oddly enough I was just thinking about them the other day and how I should pull one out to play with. Your card is gorgeous and reinforces my thought to get the templates out.
wow..the time you spent piercing was well worth it!! love the look, such a pretty frame to add this beautiful piece.
xx Karen
Now that's paper piercing! Wow! This is not my favourite technique as I find it a bit tedius but you have used a gorgeous template here and the outcome is fabulous! Maybe all I need is a better template!
Beautiful card and so much patience!
I've been coveting their stamps on Hochanda, too!
Do your talents know no bounds, Barb?
Lovely card. x
