I Wish!

Good Morning!  I hope you are enjoying your day.

I Wish I was still able to wear shoes like this!

My card was a very quick make.  I did make a batch in different colours which will go into my charity box to be posted off later.

I used an embossing folder to create the front of the card then coloured with two Distress inks.

I added a little glitter, which doesn't show well in the photo plus a gem on the shoe and punched out the three hearts which I covered with Glossy Accents.

The sentiment is a very old stamp which lives on my desk and I added a heart shaped gem.

I would like to enter my card at Allsorts Challenge blog Week 385 - Pink October

The use of pink for this challenge is to highlight Breast Cancer which causes great distress to so many men and women around the world.

My own mother suffered breast cancer during her life and had a mastectomy within two weeks of being diagnosed.  It was a very worrying time for us all but she went on to live a long and healthy life after treatment.

Lovely card for a very deserving cause. I've long given up wearing fancy shoes - all for comfort these days and anyway I do lots of walking!

Such a great card for a worthy cause. I love any card with shoes on it, so this one rocks! I like them on cards because I've never been able to wear high heels. They're agony :)

Tee hee Barb .. .. I know what you mean. Eventually we all get sensible and wear shoes for comfort. When I see some of the shoes on TV now they seem so high and have heels that look so thin!! I feel sure I would get them stuck in the paving cracks and snap them LOL!!

Great card for a great cause. Encouraging to read about your Mum - thanks for sharing that.

Have a good day.

Love Jules xx

Oh those were the days when I could get my feet in to heels like that, after having my two girls I mostly wore flats and now that's what is most comfortable. Lovely card and pretty sparkly accents.

A lovely card for a great cause. I too do not wear shoes like this anymore. It's all about comfort nowadays especially when on your feet all day when working.
Great embossing and lovely soft colour combo.

Hugs Erika. x

Lovely soft colours and well done for doing so much for charity. I'd love to wear heels too, especially being on the short side, but long since gave up anything uncomfortable. I know I'd go and break my leg anyway!

This is a pretty card with an elegant flair. You color embossed parts so well. I always look like I let a spastic monkey do it when I do it. Ah well... I can certainly admire yours.

I have this exact embossing folder, but haven't used it because I was not sure what to do with it. I bought specifically because of my daughter, and now after seeing your beautiful card, I'm going to have to give it a try. You have inspired me yet again.
