Rudolph Day - May 2016

Happy Rudolph Day Everybody
and I'm sorry to be a day late.

On 25th  of each month Mo invites us to join in at her Scraps For Life blog for the Rudolph Day Challenge which lasts until the end of the month.  It's a good way to keep making Christmas cards throughout the year.  Mo very kindly always offers a lovely prize to the winner.

For this one I used a Kanban stamp which I bought from QVC some years ago.  It's not from a Christmas set but I thought if she was wearing a red dress and had some holly in her hair she'd work for the festive season.

She was stamped onto some cream card and coloured with Promarkers.  I did shade her body and arms a little bit but this doesn't show too well in the photo.

I coloured round the edge of the card with some red distress ink and matted onto black card.

Oh! I also added lots of glitter.  Well you have to add glitter for Christmas, don't you.

Love this unusual and classy Christmas card. I seem to have missed a couple of your posts too but we seem to have caught up again. Hope you don't have too many problems with Windows 10 especially if you were 'hijacked' into it.

Great idea, for a non Christmas image, to become a Christmas card.

Thank you for the kind comment on my journal page.

So creative & beautiful, Barb! I love using non-holiday stamps for holiday cards, although I always feel a little guilty since I have so many Christmas stamps--haha!

Lovely to see an image that works so well as a Christmas card - even if not made for that purpose. I love how you think 'outside the box', Barb. x
