Yesterday I went out with friends and came home with a few goodies. So this morning I had a play with a couple of sprays I'd bought and the side strip is the piece I smooshed up with the left over ink. Then I embossed the card and cut off this strip.
After I'd gold embossed and cut out the butterfly - minus antennae I tried to mix up a grape colour with a few marker pens. I painted the butterfly roughly as I didn't want a solid colour on the wings. I gave him some gold craft wire antennae and added glitter to the wings.
I put strips of red tape near the bottom to hold the glitter, added the sentiment and the glittery dew drops.

A pretty butterfly and I'd say you nailed the grape colour nicely and of course also just right for snippets as well.
Oh, I'm just in love with this card!! Great use of snippets and leftover ink!!! The butterflies seems true! Love your embossing, hot and cold! :D

Great use of the left over piece of card and then to emboss it as well. Love the butterfly and the grape colour is a perfect shade. Thsnkyoy for fluttering by where your card will be entered into the draw twice. hugs Mrs A.

So glad you got out for a little retail therapy with good friends, and it's easy to see you had a productive trip. These smooshed colors look wonderful & soft, very smooth too. I sometimes get 'mottled' effects, but this looks just really smoothly done. The embossing on the side piece really brings out the colors, and the Flutterby is just splendid! TFS & Have a great week.
