Easter snippets

Afternoon Everyone,

I'm back home after a few days away with friends for Easter.  In spite of the awful weather we did get out a bit, enjoyed catching up and ate choccie eggs.

It will take me a few days but I'll catch up with what everybody has been doing.  First I'd like to welcome my two new followers Yvonne and Margaret.  I hope you will be able to pay them a visit.

I made ten Easter cards this year and decided to use up some peel offs, backgrounds and scraps of paper to make them all.

This is one of the cards I made using peel offs from a sheet I've had for a number of years.  Both the tulips and the sentiment strip were stuck onto scraps of white card so I'm taking this one over to join in at Pixies Snippets Playground Week 222

I already had the background card swooshed with yellow and pink distress inks so I put it through my Cuttlebug in an embossing folder and trimmed to size.  The tulips were coloured with matching colours of Promarkers  then used pale blue for the  background.   I stuck on a few clear gems to add a bit of sparkle.

Can I just add the card isn't really wonky and I hope there's not a problem with your eyes either, I was rushing and forgot to straighten the photo before re-sizing it.

Well there's a blast from the past - peel-offs!! I have loads skulking around on my shelves but not used for absolutely ages. You've made a very pretty card with these ones, pretty colours.

Oh squeal - this is just lovely Barb! I think I may have some of those very peel offs languishing in a folder here. So pretty and lovely colouring too.

Most of my photos come out 'on the wonk' - even when I've played around trying to straighten them :)

Hugs

Di xx

I'm always incredibly impressed at anyone who can take a photo of a card and get it straight, wonky is the default setting here. What a great Easter card and a brilliant way to use up some old stash, it looks fab. Glad you enjoyed your break, even if the weather didn't play ball. Cara x

I didn't know you could straigten a wonky picture. (not the ones hanging on walls thats a pet hate of mine). What program are you doing that in then? I love your peel offs here which look just like a stained glass window. I have shed loads of stickers too. Hugs Mrs A.

This is just gorgeous, and certainly these pretty tulips don't look like peel-offs! I wonder did you color in the outlines, so were the peeloffs colored already? I have some outline stickers that look like this pattern, and what a good way to use them as you've done here! Also loving your smooshed background with the fab embossing...perfect behind these spring tulips. On the metal precision plate, I've used mine with the Plus (not often, however, but I have used it). I didn't know you were not supposed to do that, and I can't see that I've done any damage to it! TFS that thought, must go do some reading before I damage something. Glad you had a good time away, and hope it was relaxing. TFS & Hugs
