An Oldie on Friday

Happy Friday Again!

And don't they seem to come round quickly.

As it's Friday I'm linking up with Erika on her Snappy Crafts blog where she invites us to show our old craft projects.

This card was made about four years ago.  I don't know the make of the embossing folder as I've lost the packaging.  After putting it through my Cuttlebug I inked it  with distress inks and added a little Sakura pen to the rose to give some shimmer.

The stamps were from a set of freebies that came with a magazine and the everything else was from my stash.

I'm off to the NEC for the Hobbycraft show this weekend and I'm really looking forward to it.  I've not been for the past couple of years.

I hope you have a lovely weekend.

Hi Barb,
wonderful choice for your Oldie today.
Lovely design and great inking of that fab embossing.
ooooooooooo! I am envious of you going to the NEC.
I haven't been for a few years now as just after my last one a couple of years ago I suffered with slipped disc in the top of my spine, and wasn't sure if all the lugging around of crafty items was to blame.
When you have a slipped disc you need to not aggravate it for a couple of years till the scaring heals.
Maybe next year I may try and go again.
Have a wonderful time.
Lots of crafty love. Jenny L.

Pretty card Barb, and would still be good for today. Some of my old makes look dated!
Hope you had a good time at the NEC.

Hi Barb, thanks for the visit, lovely card ideas. Have a great weekend at the NEC, I could say don't spend too much but that would be boring Lol! Try and get into the Fashion and embroidery section where Art Van Go are. They are K12 and although they are in the embroidery section they sell lots of stuff like the Golden art mediums and the like. Definitely worth a look. If you like getting your hands dirty visit the Powertex they are doing some workshops too. Have a great time and make sure you let us see what you came home with. Crafty hugs, Angela xXx

Pretty colors and textures on this. Enjoy your visit to the craft show. I'm not going to the one here this weekend. We bled out enough money with our move so it's for the better. Besides, if I would just go through all my craft things I'd find lots of "new" things I forgot I had (without spending $).

Lucky you! I've heard about this fab NEC show, and know you'll be having a grand crafty time. Love this oldie. The inking over the embossing is so pretty, and of course I always love anything that has buttons. What a splendid way to use up some button stash, and love the added dimension of the thread bits in the one button. TFS & Have a wonderful week.
