An Oldie on Friday

As it's Friday again it's time to link up with Erika on her Snappy Crafts blog to share an "oldie"  which doesn't have to be a card.  Any old craft item is fine.

Leave a comment for Erika and she'll visit you too.

My card was made about four years ago using a stamp bought from Create and Craft.  It's a grey rubber stamp by Glenda Waterman before Chocolate Baroque came into being and I believe the company has since been sold on.

I swooshed distress inks onto the white card before stamping then water coloured the image.  I added a little glossy accents on the stamens of the tulips.

I do like the colours on this one.  Yellow and pink are one of my favourite combinations.

A bit of inking with Black Soot distress round the outside and I didn't even think to matt it.

Enjoy your weekend Everyone!

Beautiful card Barb! I didn't even notice there was no matt behind it......so it must not have needed it....right? The black soot around the edges was enough to make the image really pop. I just think it is a stunning card.

I too love warm yellow and pink. These tulips are so sweet on the inked background and the stamens with glossy accents look great! The pink bow is a perfect touch!

The colours and the image are lovely and I do like the distressing. I think it's fine without a matt.

A pretty stamp and lovely water-coloured background, something I don't play with often enough so you've given me an idea!

This is a great stamp Barb and I used to love watching Glenda in her pre CB days on craft programmes as she was always so clever with her stamping and inking. I love your design too and the pretty colours you have used. x
